Removing the lower growth like that is an extremely beneficial practice. It removes vegetation that is sapping energy and resources from the rest of the plant. The lower growth will not produce anything worthwhile while using energy that could go to top cola production. By lolly popping throughout vegetative growth and the first week or two of bloom, you will undoubtedly increase your yield. Not only will you increase your yield, but the medicine you produce will be all tops and no loose, airy popcorn bud. AND, while your taking lower growth off during veg, you can use the cuttings for clones! Double-positive! LOL! Peace, E1 So since I am totally new to this, how should I go about it? Just got off the leaves? Or everything below a certain point? I wouldn't want to cut off anything that could flower, you know? Sorry for the newb questions, but I'm still learning.
