I'vesearched but I can't find an answer in the faqs....

When i went to flower a week or so ago i kicked up to 1000w. That flipped a breaker while i was out.. and the light was off for about 5 hours.

There didn't appear to be any problems andwith the girls and i fixed the problem ... or so I thought. But it happened again. This time the light was out for 6 hours. So question is... how many times can this happen befor disaster steikes? The girls are just starting ti bud...

well you should go down to 600w because your breaker tripping means you're drawing too much on that circuit.

Don't make it a habit and your plants will be fine.

OG is correct, of course. Change to a 600w, ramp up your home current, or make sure your fire insurance is up-to-date and you have a bunch of smoke detectors in the house.

600w would be cheapest. ramping up the wiring and breaker would be best. fire insurance and smoke alarms would be . . .well the least bright but I guess if your insurance company is super daft it could work out laugh

Ya... I knew I was drawing too much power on that circuit so I moved the fans to a different one. I thought that was the fix. But evidently not.

So back down 750w it is. Haven't had a single problem with that. Too bad though... I was hoping to see a difference in nugget size at 1000.

But at least it's good to know I haven't messed up the girls. Thanks for the reassurnace Doobie Brother.

Now that I think of it though...

What sort of an effect does changing light wattage up and down have on the plants? I suspect that just might mimic the passing of clouds... but what kind of physical effect would it have if any?

you could try putting in a different breaker, same amp size. if you have an amp clamp that, measures amp draw to see if your close to your amp max, if your not your breaker could be getting weak, and tripping before its rated amps. good luck

I'd suspect no effect whatsoever.
