I feel that marijuana and aspects of other drugs should be legal, however, this should be contingent to a comprehensive social safety net, with systems in place, to prevent and care for psychosis, over doses, and other distressing aspects of drug use.

My experience with Marijuana and Topamax was has follows: I was a resident at a long term mental health facility when I was 15, back in 2003 (It was basically a labour camp for the mentally ill). I was suspended from the facility for bad behavior. I was perscribed Topamax 250mgs by a Doctor @ an adjacent mental health facility (a crisis center), has an anti-psychotic application, despite it being an anti-convulsant. After taking Topamax the night before, I went to smoke Marijuana in my friend's housing complex, and I quickly left, for that I had a meeting with a SocialWorker in my complex. On my way home, my mind slowly went blank. And then it happend. Retrospectively, I was in my kitchen, however, when in my drug induced psychotic state, I did not recognize this place has my kitchen. I was basically born anew, into a new exsistance, with out any recolection of my normal existence. The kitchen was a universe, an inflationary universe, which would inflate, and deflate, in 1-3 second intervals, the more repetitions I would go through, the more advance the universe would become (the universe being my kitchen). And additionally, the more advance the universe became, the more painful the universe deflating became. The universe kept on getting more, and more, advance, and the experience became more and more painful. Through the experience, the entity that I was, would be in a constant monologue with God, asking him to make this stop, please, make this stop. This was the most painful experience that I can humanly conceptualize (in my opinion, it was worse then being burned alive). I eventually woke up in my normal state, naked on my living room floor @ which point I was taken via ambulance and police escort to a crisis centre. I later found out that I was in my kitchen for only 10-15 seconds, despite me feeling like I was there for 20/30 minutes.

My life change shortly after for the worce, but long term, my life was positivly effected by the experience, in a morbid way.

I would not recommend using Topamax and Marijuana. And when embarking on psychedelic adventures, do some exstensive readings, which provide a clear outline of the respective drug application. And additionally, have friends around for safety, and prompt access to emergency services . And if possible, consult a medical practitioner (one who you are confident will be confidential).

Or just smoke POT you idiots.

Pot does nothing for me. I am unproductive when I am high so no, I won't smoke weed. Topamax is prescribed to me for medical reasons and has worked for me for years. I think pot is highly abused (happy 4/20 stoners) and should only be legalized for life-threatening cases. "Anxiety" and "back aches" are BS excuses. Marijuana is not a prescription for shitty-life syndrome. Deal with your problems like an adult, not a rebelling teenager.

I was the one who chose to smoke weed while I was on Topamax and had one of the most horrifying experiences of my life that almost took my life. The reason I came here was to see other people's similar experiences. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I wouldn't wish that experience I had on anyone and I think part of the problem is that a lot of people perceive weed to be harmless just like I did. It was my fault for not being educated first and I'm sure many stoners still think you can smoke weed and take pills without a problem and that's not the case.

I won't say your crazy, but your so bent backwards and around that its disturbing.

So take your own advice thank you very much. Deal with your problems like an adult, not a rebelling teenager. And get out my life and the lives of two hundred and fifty million people who have no need, choice or desire to use your pills.
