Good stuff Nutty, I hope this works out for Lady Di and yourself. Was surprised to hear she is off her meds; I can't imagine doing that, although I hope someday to be able to say that. If I miss one of four morphine caps, within a hour or or two I can feel the difference, and it's never a good feeling.
As it will take time to feel the effects of this process, does she plan to stay off the opiates all that time ?

I wish you both the best with juicing, and will be watching your thread with great interest.

Good luck.

Day 4: This am is the start of day 4. We have been takin 30 ml of juice daily.. Just small sips 3 times a day.. This may sound impossible, this soon, but Lady Di feels as though it's helping.. For one last nite we stayed up late and got a real good glow on. And some extra curricular activities went on. Consistantly in the past this has helped contribute to the fibro flare-ups.. Not enough rest, and strenuous activity are noted in many articles about fibro. This am she got up and had very little pain.. Slight lower back pain and that's it.

Adn some other news.. I took some juice and mixed it in with a lil bit of my cannabutter... I have been rubbing that into my egzima sores on my right leg.. I really wish I would have take a pic before I started. But by this am all the area look 50% better.. I have NOT been using the scrip steroid cremes. These areas looked bad enough that I was to embarrassed to wear shorts. I know all this sounds like bullshit. But really people I have no reason to bullshit anyone.. I would love it if there were someone out there that has egzima that would also give this a try.. I will take a pic of my leg today and post it tomorrow or Monday unless I find time later.. One other thing we both have noticed a slight energy boost. We have discussed whether or not this is mental due to the fact we want it to work. I honestly don't believe so.. that's all I have for now.. smile

Oh... I DO think it CAN help this early; just think how well everyone will be feeling when the nutrients and cannabinoids build up in your systems and take FULL therapeutic effect in 6-8 weeks!

I don't think you two will need to rely on the "luck of the Irish" for your healing. You've got nature's miracle herb at the end of your rainbow wink

Slainte!

Wow, positive perceptions on the process already ! I truly hope the upswing continues and your progress reports also continue to provide increased pluses.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on this experiment Nuto, it's very appreciated to have the experiment voiced by a longtime and respected member.

PEACE

Thanks so much for posting this Nutty, I am sure you have a number of very interested people watching this thread very closely. Juicing has the potential to be a real life-saver; the fact that your gf is suffering from one of the most insidious diseases out there makes this all the more ... important (I need a better word here, just can't come up with one atm!).

Frankly I am more than a little surprised at how quickly things are moving along. Not for a moment am I suggesting what you feel is the placebo affect, as there is clearly much to learn about juicing and its effects on chronic pain. So, my astonishment is a happy one smile

A couple of questions of you don't mind: what parts of the plant are you juicing, and does this include bud ? Are you taking a measured amount every day ? Are there any side-effects at all, e.g. green pee ?

Thanks once again,
Cheers

Please nuto, if I may add a question to DB's list???

Is the juice psychoactive (i.e. do you get "high" and if so HOW high... is it debilitating and/or activity prohibitive in any way)?

The reason I ask is Dr. Courtney always told me juicing vegetative leaf would not be psychoactive at all, but a good friend who was following his juicing protocol said she got pretty "buzzed" from it.

I do remember when Dr. Courtney started investigating the juicing of the BUDS, he did state this WOULD be psychoactive, but I've haven't been intimately acquainted with anyone who participated in that particular protocol.

Thanks in advance; your time/effort in posting for our benefit is MUCH appreciated.

DB, we are juicing both the fan leaves and popcorn. I can't find any info on juicing ahead but we are juicing enough for 3-4 days at a time and keeping it in the fridge. We are taking 30 ml. per day. After a lil more reading there are those that are saying that juicing will help with some pain management quickly.. But from a systemic point, you see that 6-8 week window.

WW, we have had no getting high feeling. Di rarely smokes and doesn't care for the smoking high. Now one thing I'm sure of is a lil bit of a energy boost buzz like thing goes on.. But neither one of us feel a thc type high.

As for how we are progressing. Di had a flare up yesterday while she was home and didn't take any juice with her(why I don't know). She will be here for her dosing today. I'm just juicing. Maybe I should wait till I have something.. laugh

And the butter is actually working wonders. Not much sense in apic at this point there isn't much to see.

Not much to add today. Di got here and immediately juiced. Hard to say if the juice helped but by days end she was feeling much better.

Glad to hear that someone else is doing the raw juicing regime. I signed up to this site cuz I saw that you were talking about juicing, and wanted to get in on the discussion and sharing of results.

I've been on it for around 4 weeks now, juicing 20-30 fan leaves daily from a specific pheno of the strain Cannatonic, with a 2:1 CBD:THC ratio, in treatment of my psoriatic arthritis.

I've been on a CBD regime the past year already, but mainly in infused coconut oil canna capsules.

This juicing regime really piqued my interest, when I originally read Dr. Courtenay's info and then saw the video on youtube, as the leaf primarily gets composted usually, and I'm definitely a proponent of whole plant therapy!

I'm making up fresh juice every morning, enough for 3-4 doses of ~125ml, and I'm adding fresh carrots, ginger, apple, and other fruits/veg that I've got around the house at the time, for a tasty healthy drink. I've got a wheatgrass juicer, so I can extract maximum from the plant.

I'm definitely noticing positive changes after 4 weeks on this regime. Happy to share specifics if people are interested.

My biggest concern is the amount of raw leaf that is required to sustain this regime for any long term capacity. I've been harvesting leaves off live plants daily. Ideally I'd prefer to do a big leaf harvest, say with a larger outdoor plant with lots of leaves and perhaps make juice freezer cubes that could be stored in the freezer and thawed as needed.

Thoughts?
