PBR is like drinking the stale piss out of an un-flushed airport toilet ha ha ha i get that alot. after working at the brewery a while, i got use to the aroma of the PBR. too watery for my taste. i hear you can get a twelve pack for $3.00. i haven't priced it in years. we use to bottle lucky lager too. the one with the riddle under the bottle cap. yeah, only the best. -blue skies

The price increase must be because of the massive influx of hipsters drinking PBR for no good reason causing a disruption in the supply/demand equation in Portland. From Wikipedia: The beer experienced a sales revival in the early 2000s after a two decade-long slump, largely due to its increasing popularity among hipsters in cities such as New York City (Brooklyn); Omaha, Nebraska; Columbus, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Ann Arbor, Michigan; Portland, Oregon; and Richmond, Virginia.[6][8] Although the Pabst website features user-submitted photography, much of which features twenty-something Pabst drinkers dressed in alternative fashions,[9] the company has opted not to fully embrace the countercultural label in its marketing, fearing that it could jeopardize the very "authenticity" that made the brand popular[6][10][11] as was the case with the poorly received OK Soda. Pabst instead targets its desired market as an authentic American beer through product placement in films such as Blue Velvet [12] and Gran Torino,[13] as well as targeting its niche through the sponsorship of indie music concerts, local businesses, post-collegiate sports teams,[14] dive bars and radio programming like National Public Radio's All Things Considered.[8][15] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pabst_Blue_RibbonNeed a trend to latch onto? Try Hipster! I really wish all these assholes would ride their fixed gear bikes into a fucking bus already and end this tragedy of American youth culture. This is the type of stupid shit I'm talking about.

i heard this term before but i don't really know what it means. when i ask people about it, they just point to someone and says there, that's a hipster. i don't think i would ever get a PBR tattoo. pabst was a great company to work for. good pay and good benefits, but still there is no way i would ink myself. i think i fit into the middle aged, get the fuck off my lawn, trend. ha ha ha ha -blue skies

You've got a point, however I assure you SUPPLY is a non-issue. Every freakin' bar and pub in this city has got PBR on tap - UNLESS, it's a true hipster bar... then the PBR flows from tall boys! Daddy's money can buy anything "Beervana" has to offer, but the trust-funded hipster chooses the cheap conformists' beer in an effort to assert their independent spirit - Oh, the irony.
