I wasn't sure what you meant by the "temperature" rating for compact fluorescents so I looked it up. It is colour temperature, the K stands for Kelvin, Wiki: CFL Light Spectrum
At Home Depot the Philips CFL are packaged as "Daytime" for 6500K, "Soft White" for 2700K.

That was my intent, to get the point across that much of the information you seek is easily found, once you know what questions to ask.

Don't use the commercial descriptive names, i.e. 'Daylight', Warm or Soft etc. Better off learning and looking for specific colour temps as you listed above.

Good luck, and enjoy the journey.

I cut another plant down today, at 61 days.

I finally sampled some bud from the first Auto Assassin plant I cut down a few weeks ago. I just had too, the rest is curing. Buds have a nice citrus aroma. I vaporize only and it tastes awesome and is very smooth. Yup, it assassinated me, and I loved it smile. I would recommend this strain for a small grow space. Quick grower, quality results.

I can't recall where I got these seeds but they are definatley Auto Assassin from Short Stuff breeders. I'm sure you can find some of them with a quick search.

Can you please tell me how was the smell while growing the Auto Assassin? The original ak47 auto was pretty smelly according to the reviews. I just ordered some regular seeds as I'm looking for a sativa male auto to cross with my femmed Super-Cali Haze autos for a seed run. I like to grow autos from seed and I'm trying to make a sativa auto I can grow.

I think your Auto Assassins looked great. And filled in pretty well.

I think the added cfl's will help with the closet.

Hi Orchidman,
The smell while growing the Auto Assassins surprised me as not being bad at all. There definatley was some odour, especially into the later flowering stage but it wasn't bad. Keep in mind I only ever had two plants budding at one time and kept them growing in their cabinet in a bedroom with the bedroom door closed. We could only smell the plants slightly in the house close to the bedroom during the last 20 days of growing or so. This was solved completely by simply having a fan blowing air out of the bedroom window. In my opinion the smell from Auto Assassins while growing is minimal to moderate only. Definaltey not strong. I hope this helps.

On one of my latest Auto Assassin plants I have decided to try the Low Stress Training technique. It is my first time trying this. I have two of these plants planted on the same date. I have LST'd one and will leave the other to grow normally. It'll be interesting to see if any yield difference occurs between the two.

Four days later some of the secondary branches have already started to rise up.

Also, my order of Hydroton balls have finally arrived.

7 days after LST tie-down of Auto Assassin. Some secondary branches have raised up nicely.
