At least I don't feel like a relic around here. Some of them on here are pretty damn young...

Well I've only been on this site for a few years but I'm an old fart, I remember where I was when JFK was shot, I remember the moon landing. Only 2 channels on black and white TV. party lines on the phone... All of that old fart stuff... I remember the 4 finger lids for $10.00 of pressed Mexican brick weed. Colombian and Panama red, Acapulco Gold and some Wohocan green bud. that was back in the day.... It wouldn't hold a candle to my organic bud today tho.....

I honestly believe that your statement only applies in context to how much weed one consumes. Most people develop a tolerance to the effects of marijuana just as they do to any number of drugs which requires the frequent flyer to consume larger quantities to achieve the desired results. As for potency, there is very little evidence to suggest that the c. sativa rastus I smoked long ago was any more or less potent than the average user encounters today. Your lungs can only absorb X amount of active ingredient in marijuana smoke per toke and I laugh at people holding their breath until their face turns purple who never bothered to discover that a 5 second count is all that`s ever needed to coat the lung tissue; after that, only the lack of oxygen to the brain is what intensifies the effects of marijuana. If you are not a chronic smoker, yyou`ll not be concerned very much about who`s weed`s better than granpa`s supposedly bad smoke.
I just wish the Hell I and a couple of my frends could find some uncorrupted sativa.

The comment was more about the herb that was available to me when I was a kid, and my abilities to grow the kind now. While most of what I was exposed to back in the day was pressed brick weed. I did get the occasional good bud. I was more stating that the way I grow now and the strains available for me to grow are far superior to brick weed. On that no one can argue.

I remember the first Color T.V. in the town I grew up in. The dentist got it and set it up across from a picture window so every one in town could drive by and see what color looked like.
