The 25 gallon design I referenced earlier is not pictured in the photos from my previous post, they were meant to serve as examples comparing different methods of aeration.

You made a number of great points there FulVic, I'll print this stuff up for my collection. smile

I'll pick up a larger pump asap. The first run went well, very frothy after 24 hours. Once I applied all I needed, I washed everything in a mild bleach solution.

Now for more tea-newb questions:

- can the compost/castings etc. which were used in the first brew be used again ?
- what sort of pH should I be getting from my teas, and do you need to monitor this more closely than someone not using teas ?
- how often to make and apply, and how strong/dilute should it be used at ?

I'll have more noob questions later guys, thanks muchly for all the great info laugh

I take my used castings/compost and give it to the plants they love it. don't check my ph of tea, you should check it atleast once to assure for future reference. you can do it once a month, twice a month. heck dank1 does it every watering. don't need to dilute, it's good straight up laugh

Set up second run last night...same ingredients. Plants all look happy after the first dose; will be time for more today or tomorrow...

Although a bigger air pump would certainly help, and it is in my best interest to pick one up, for now the air stones seem to be doing a decent job. Will report back with results in a week or so.

Thanks for reading.

Just a quick update to say it's been 3 weeks on ferting with tea only; the results are very good. Plants are all happy, dark green, and growing like stink...literally!

With chemical ferts, it is usually wise to stop pois...I mean feeding your plants a few weeks before harvest, in order to flush. As this does not apply to organics, should I apply my tea right up to the end ?

Most people don't. Some cut it down to just molasses at the end. I just give them water. There is not a whole lot of need for food that late in the cycle.
