However, plants can and do make decisions daily, which suggest at least a form of awareness, with that being said, they are self aware, and aware of their environments, every single aspect. Like Doobie said. Plants do not make decisions, they react to their environments i.e. X environmental factor causes Y plant chemical signal to happen which causes a plant to flower, bend towards a light source, loose turgor, make fruit, etc. Decision making is more characteristic to metazoans and is even more specific to only include certain species. Does the link work on my last post in this thread? It ought to clear things up if you or anyone interested reads it. With that being said, we can say the same about us. We react to our environment, by either changing it, or working with it. Everything reacts to their environment, not just plants. Plants have something that we as mobile living organism's don't have, and that's BILLIONS OF YEARS OF EXISTENCE!!! They are the first multi-cell life forms to populate this planet, now, I'm not saying their smart, or have evolved on an intellectual or even on a "self aware" level, but that doesn't change the fact that we, as an intelligent species, is one of the stupidest species goin, and we have no clue how anything works in the reality of things. 10 years from now, what we think as fact today, with either be proven, or debunked, same goes for another 10 years from that, and so on and so on. Fact's aren't facts because WE say their facts, facts are facts when THEY say they are, until then it's purely speculation, and in order to have ALL the facts, you need to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING. which not a single person on the face of the planet does. Not to mention, even collectively, we do NOT have even half the facts. We think we know what's going on, till something unexpected happens, so we try to roll with it, fixing the issue with "facts" only to encounter additional unexpected events, which are controlled by facts, which are then later led with more unexpected events, and the cycle goes on, each time something bad happens, it renders the previous "fact" moot. We call facts facts because we have NO clue how to verify beyond a shadow of a doubt. If anyone thinks we know even 30% of the REAL facts than I'm sorry, you're heavily mistaken. So the reality is, plants change to suit their environment, we change the environment to suit us... who's the smart ones here?

With that being said, we can say the same about us. We react to our environment, by either changing it, or working with it. Everything reacts to their environment, not just plants. Plants have something that we as mobile living organisms don't have, and that's BILLIONS OF YEARS OF EXISTENCE!!! While this is true, the first photosynthesizes were green single celled algae. Which were actually bacteria, not marine or terrestrial vascular plants. And to sort of lead back to the actual discussion, Cannabis along with all of the other Angiosperms are the youngest population of terrestrial plants there is to date. That is not true, microbial populations along with Bryozoans, Cephalopods, Pelecypods, Brachiopods, Horn Coral (the list goes on) inhabited the sea before land plants came along. As far as us being the stupidest species….well that is just a poor way to look at it. If you have ever studied selection you would understand that every species there is tries to “take over the world” i.e. reproduce, find resources and continue to reproduce. We as humans have gone above and beyond this, almost to the point IMO that selection does not even apply to our species. We are the “top dogs” so to speak, which takes problem solving and critical thinking; neither of which is characteristic to being stupid. And saying” we have no clue how anything works in the reality of things” is both true and false IMO. Humans make their own realities and this is possible because of our central nervous system. We as humans have the ability to observe natural reactions or replicate them through experimentation and research. Although human language is just a bunch of definitions we have “made up” along the way and applied to the natural world, it is our reality. Throughout your rebuttal in this thread that should have ended close to a month ago. You have moved from making your own facts, trying to use sourced facts and now you’re saying facts aren’t even important. If you could please explain what you mean by “30% of the real facts” what is the other 70% of facts? Factual information isn’t the high score in the video game, it is what we as humans have observed and possibly quantified and possibly measured in order to solidify them. With that being said, 100% of the facts we know of, are already known or recorded. This means humans know 100% of the facts because like you had referenced we make the facts as we go. So the reality is, plants change to suit their environment, we change the environment to suit us... who's the smart ones here? Well… we are. Because the word smart is not applicable to plants. Like every link or response I or others have given you. Plants to not think, cognize or decide in any way which means you cannot quantify a level of intelligence to them. The learning process starts by the user identifying that he or she is wrong. The user then moves on to research scholarly information, textbooks or experts in the field in order to learn. Like Doobie said Well, this seems to be an orbital dialogue... endless. Please don't take anything I've said badly PharOG. I'm not trying to assert that you are unintelligent. You are clearly an inquisitive person, start taking advantage of this by finding answers to your questions through real research from credible sources (not regular google searches, use google scholar). Good luck with all of your endeavors
