Yes they can. Look at all the cases in the USA, where licensed med growers get raided all the time. Police have and always will abuse their power. The people need to stand up as one and make it stop. Their has to be reprimand for wrong doings. Abuse is abuse no matter what form it is in!!

I doubt this would reach back to the patient, but the records could be used against the Doctor If there are discrepancies.

I think you people are jumpimg the gun a little. There is no mention of the reasons for the raid and if you read the article they stated they had a warrant.

MMAR is not the only grey area a doctor can get themselves into.

If they actually had a warrant then your files are fair game. There is no worry if you are legal even if you paid a fee.

But you guys are right, whatever reasons they had, they now have all your info and that may not be good in the future.

YES ivan they can and do raid legal people and grows all the time.

But I did speak to them on the phone this week

As far as I've heard. He hasn't had a clinic since sometime last year. He really did help out lots of people and I personally know of 7 people who got their license because of Dr Kamermans.


I don't know of any other doctor in Canada who was willing to help out so many individuals. $400 for a license or jail time for possession or growing over 5 plants? I'll gladly pay $400 and its not $400 either. He was charging $100 for patients who drove out to see him in Coe Hill or $250 at the clinics. $400 was only for Skype.

maybe there should be a class action suit against the police, etc. for looking at confidential info.

The cases in the USA are much different than in canada, A US has state mandated medical marijuana it's still highly illegal on a federal scale, where as we actually have a federal program, so very much different than the raids in the states.

But either way the police do not have legal authorization to access any patients medical records, perhaps only to verify the patients were diagnosed with said condition that enabled kammerman to sign the mmar, which would have to be ordered by a judge, i believe they are the only people that could have your medical records pulled without your consent.

My spouse was on the waiting list to see dr. kammerman, 4 months later still trying to find a doctor that will help.

If it goes much longer without being able to find a doctor i'm taking the gov to court, as my spouse is diagnosed with a condition where she should be legal, doctors are not giving patients any options with perscriptions it's just what the doctor orders goes, regardless of wether the doctor is doing the right thing, or making another hopeless opioid junkie.
