Brilliant!!!!

Actually Sticky, you have raised a good point: no matter what you spray on your plants, it's always a good idea to wash it off a little later. Anything that blocks the stomata can do serious damage to your leaves, so make sure any residue is removed.

Most natural sprays, milk, neem, sea weed based, ect. are bio degradable. And will degrade quite fast under lights. No need to wash off. As far as blocking the stomata, the stoma are located on the under side of the leaf. PM lives on top of the leaves, plus plants love calcium. No need to wash off. If you spray at night, the stomata are closed, so no need to worry about blocking the stoma. So just stick with low/no fat milk. One part milk nine parts h2o.

Cheers GG.

There's a product I've recently seen used for PM on my friends garden. It's called PM Wash from NPK. It's essentially 98% pure ionized (electrically charged) water! It is safe to use right up til harvest and the best thing is it's organic and non-toxic... You don't dilute it at all, just place in plastic sprayer and go to work! It cleared up his PM(which was pretty bad) in three days. You have to keep re-applying every three days or so because as we know powdery mildew is a systemic disease. This is why PM seems to always come back in a few days. The mildew lives within the plants cells and only releases spores when conditions are right.

Peace, E1

You should still invest $50 in a dehumidifier as insurance against reinfestation.Remember the threat is there with the right conditions. We CAN affect the conditions.

Electrically charged water, what? Sounds like %100 scam to me, but what do I know.

So you're spraying water on the plants to get rid of something that thrives in high humidity conditions..again, doesn't make any sense to me.

My humble apologies, this head was too focused on soaps and other chemical sprays; never occured to think past that obvious point ... doh!

Look into it, and try it before knocking it! It works very well. all NPK products are dominating the competition at my store right now. SNS 217 is working well as is their fungicide, but it's SO pricey.
