Didn't you know everything the Dem.s do is just for a political advantage, never mind that they call for it for years. AND everthing the Rep.s do is to save America even though it didn't work before and nearly destoryed us.

Jon Stewart: Christian right ‘hates Obama more than they love Jesus’

The Daily Show host Jon Stewart mocked the debate surrounding Mitt Romney’s faith in Mormonism.

Many conservative Christians — a major base of the Republican Party — see Mormonism as a heretical offshoot of their religion. According to a Pew Research Center survey from 2011, 53 percent of white evangelical Protestants said Mormonism was not a Christian faith. However, those same voters overwhelmingly support Romney in a hypothetical match up against President Barack Obama.

“Simple math. I hate Barack Obama more than I love Jesus,” Stewart joked.

But those on the right are not the only one who have been critical of Romney’s religion.

“It takes a bold man to judge someone based on a book you’re simultaneously shitting on,” Stewart said, mocking MSNBC host Martin Bashir. “I guess at least Bashir is not saying Romney belongs to a fake religion and worships a false god, that would be Lawrence O’Donnell’s job.”

“You can’t cherry pick the worst aspects of a religion and hold a person responsible for it,” Stewart said. “It’s not like Mitt Romney will pursue policies that are unfair to black people because he’s a Mormon. He’ll do that because he’s a Republican.”

Romney attacks Obama for not keeping unemployment below 4 percent

As the unemployment rate hit a three-year low of 8.1 percent on Friday, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney escalated attacks on President Barack Obama by moving the bar to 4 percent.

“Just this morning there was some news that came across the wire that said that the unemployment rate has dropped to 8.1 percent,” the former Massachusetts governor told a group of supporters in Pittsburgh. “And normally, that would be cause for celebration, but, in fact, anything over 8 percent, anything near 8 percent — anything over 4 percent is not a cause for celebration.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, no Republican president in the last 40 years has lowered the unemployment rate below 4 percent. Under Democratic President Bill Clinton, the rate was below 4 percent for five months in 2000.

Report: Romney bullied ‘presumed’ gay student in 1965

A high school friend of Mitt Romney recently recalled to The Washington Post that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee once bullied a fellow student who was thought to be gay.

Matthew Friedemann, who described himself as a “close” friend when Romney attended the prestigious Cranbrook School in 1965, said that the future Massachusetts governor picked on John Lauber. The Post described Lauber as a “a soft-spoken new student” who was “perpetually teased for his nonconformity and presumed homosexuality.”

But it was Lauber’s long bleached-blonde hair that really set Romney off.

“Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the school’s collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauber’s hair,” the Post‘s Jason Horowitz wrote. “Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.”

In addition to Friedemann, Horowitz spoke to at least four other of Romney’s classmates who confirmed the incident.

Romney incorrectly insists marijuana is a ‘gateway drug’

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday lashed out at a reporter in Colorado who asked him tough questions about same sex marriage, immigration and marijuana.

“Aren’t there issues of significance that you’d like to talk about?” Romney quipped to CBS 4 reporter Shaun Boyd. “The economy — the economy — the economy, the growth of jobs, the need to put people back to work. The challenges of Iran. We’ve got enormous issues that we face. But, go ahead. You want to talk about medical marijuana.”

“I think marijuana should not be legal in this country,” the former Massachusetts governor opined. “I believe it’s a gateway drug to other drug violations. The use of illegal drugs in this country is leading to terrible consequences in places like Mexico and actually in our own country. I oppose legalization of marijuana. I oppose legalization of other kinds of drugs.”

Too many people seem to beleive that M/M is just a drug for fun, They seem to forget that medical part. Using weed is no more of a bad influnce to my grand kids than me taking Oxy. for pain would be.
