Pre-employment test.

Went to a medical lab. They did not seem to know anything about drug testing except sample collecting, couldn't answer my questions, didn't even tell me the correct way to provide a sample, they just stuck a felt thing in my mouth, left the room and kept looking in on me every minute or so.

I've been a chronic for, oh...12 years or so, except for the past six days (since I found out about the test).

Now I've heard that with a saliva test you should be able to pass after about three days of abstinence, so I'm cautiously optimistic, but about a week ago I got so fried on space cake that I might of been saturated with THC at that time.

This drug testing thing is getting to be significant in the Canadian construction industry.

I will post again when I get the results, (2 days probably).

In the meantime I am tied up in a knot with anxiety over the possibility of failure.

I PASSED!!!

Six days of complete abstinence, and the night before I was out at a place that had some second hand smoke. I tried my best to avoid it.

OK, so this experience has confirmed what I have come to strongly suspect...

#1...Pot is not physically addictive. I'm living proof of that.

#2...Pot does not 'rot your brain' either. I completed college with a 95% average...and went on to a fairly good job, (which is quite physically intensive too) that I do successfully. (I have NEVER been high at work, nor would I ever want to be, not with this job anyway)

It is a true, living mystery as to why marijuana is illegal, and with such strict consequences.

We all have our theories...

Smoke 'em if you got 'em.
