There are two ways to post pictures of your sticky buds, your old lady's boobs, your dog, your flower garden, etc. . You can either use the file manager that is at the bottomish area when you post. using this you are a bit limited in the size of images you can post. they max out at 97 megs (or so) well go ahead and upload your pictures. and do your post after that post is up if you want to "float" your images in the post. click on the file link in the post. when the picure comes up copy the url in the addy bar up top. now go back to the original post and do the following : yes that doesn't work on purpose replace thepictureimageurl.com with the url of the picture in your post hosted here at CC and bam your image wil float in your post. the other way of posting images in your posts is using a third party image hosting site i.e. photobucket, tinyurl, etc. these places are considerably better for image hosting in my opinion because you can have larger file sizes. you go through pick the size you want the image to be etc. (I won't get into the nitty gritty about them but it's fairly easy to do) after the images are uploaded copy the '.img' link that the site provides (I know photobucket provides one can't say about the others.) copy and paste the link here to your post and viola you posted an image. using the third party site also has the benefit of doing up to 10 links, using the upload to CC way only let's you do 2 at a time. good luck with your posting I hope this helps and anyone that cares to give a better tutorial or add to this go ahead.

In a nutshell: 1. Choose an image hosting company. I like Photobucket, there are also other good ones. (or as OG suggested you could attach them to a post made here) 2. Upload your pictures there. (or attach to a post) 3. They have an option to directly link to pictures, find it, and get the direct link address. On Photobucket you find your pictures (in Library), move your mouse over the gear (top-right of the picture), click Share, click the Links tab, and click on the Direct Link address, it automatically copies the address to your clipboard. For Photobucket, it looks something like this: http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg66/spectralmagic/IMG_7807_resized.jpg4. Use the Enter an Image button available at the top of the text box when you're writing a post, and use the address you got in step 3.

Good question wolfpackblue. I use HP Photosmart Premier ver 6.5 to modify my photos before posting. It's available as freeware or shareware on the net. With this software, I call up the photo, enter edit mode, and push the resize button. I usually down size the resolution to 1024 X 768 pixels and then hit 'save as'. You now have several options to fill in but the one that will change a 1.5 meg JPEG into something less than the 97K limit is the 'JPEG Compression' slider bar. Different files will require different settings but usually 2 to 3 clicks below the 'large file/high quality' end of the slide will do the trick. Save the file under a new name and look up the properties for it. If it's below 97K, you're good to post. If it's above 97K, repeat the process with the original photo and go one click lower on the slide. Though most of my attachments and photos hosted by CC forums are now gone, there are still some good examples towards the end of the thread CFL gro (perrrty nice). Here's a few examples of 1024 X 768 photos that are under 97K in size... Clones Vegetation Flowering and of course a five week old bud shot. I hope this makes sense and will help in some way... 52.

First of all I would like to say thanks for sharing the method of posting picture in the forum. Actually this is first time I sign up any forum that's why I don't know the use of forum's features. so I must say thanks again.
