Well, this seems to be an orbital dialogue... endless.
The original argument was that music has a positive effect on plant growth. The rationale is "sound waves create disturbances in the air which in turn move plant molecules...". (I hope I have this right...).
If this is the 'reason' music is helpful, that would mean any sort of movement in air currents could have the same effect, correct ?
Oh, btw, the Mythbusters example was posted to reflect the endless high-school type of scientific experiment. The music+plant growth problem has been science fair fodder for decades, along with potato batteries and lima beans in paper towel. Not exactly cutting edge science... That's exactly right Doobie, There are studies that show certain notes with certain tones can have either negative effects, positive effects, or none at all. I'm by no means saying that it does effect plant growth, I'm saying there is no conclusive evidence to suggest that it doesn't, and there is evidence that suggest's that it does. So in reality, according to some research, a song that houses a variety of notes and tones (this is essentially all of them) could in fact do both good, and harm to your plant. At certain notes in the song, could send a vibration in the air that helps the plant along, while the very next note sends a vibration that doesn't help with plant growth. There are even some studies where the plant grew towards the source of the sound the same as they do towards the source of the light (of course, the light source won the "who you wanna go to more" battle).

i though mythbuster did a test and found heavy metal had a positive effect on plant growth as opposed to other genres...and on weird or what they studied a man who on his wine crop had loud speakers and found the grapes growing toward the source of the sound and bigger yield directly near the speakers

Can you supply said studies Pharoah? I've done reading over the subject quite a bit too. I have not read conclusive evidence that it does work nor have I found conclusive evidence that it does work. Please no regular URL articles, as they are often inaccurate. Only scientific articles that can be cited.

Simple either play music or not.. Like the others them bitches listen when I listen... The trollin remark was rude and outa line btw.. Buddha has been here since '03 Phar... How the fuck long you been here??? Look at the remark made, coupled with the fact that I didn't view it as a joke, and the fact I never actually called him a troll, just said, given my understanding at that point of what he was saying, came off as trolling. I'm sorry you feel as though because you happen to have grow experience that makes you more enlightened to the reality of the world, when it clearly does not. Also, correct me if I'm wrong nuto. But you yourself not more than an hour ago made one of the most insulting remarks I've seen spew out of anyones mouth here, outside of mike, but he didn't do it out of disrespect. You consider yourself to be a good person, yet your willing to take the one thing someone is suffering with, and slap them in the face with it. Bravo, now go kick a man on crutches, or push someone in a wheelchair down a hill. Essentially the same thing... You're an inconsiderate individual, and I'll be glad to never learn anything from you.
