High again....fack when aren't I?? lol anyhoo just looking for a little help from you organic guys out there. I have been giving my BB ladies a healthy worm tea with guano and molasses and the works. Now in a few days I am going to be ready to water again. My question is this... My plants are all VERY green. I mean to the point where I am thinking, maybe I should be skipping the earth worm castings the next watering. The last three waterings I have given them a tea and was wondering what I should do on the next one seeing as everything looks well fed and green. Thanks for any advice and suggestions. I had originally posted this in my BB thread but had no luck getting a response so I thought I would put it here in the Organic forum.

I would definitely skip the castings if your plants are very well fed. Remember, with tea some of the nutrients are instantly available and some need a little time to be broken down to their simpler forms by the microbes. I can guarantee you there are probably more nutrients in your soil structure than you might think. Skip the castings and maybe even lower your overall tea dose until you feel they are ready again. The metabolic processes in soil happen more gradually. Brewing a tea speeds things up by pre-digesting the organic compounds so to be immediately available to the plants root zone.

Thanks for your response, you have made some very good points. I will water next time without giving any earth worm castings, but will still add the molasses and do a light top dressing of bat guano. Going to be watching them closely. Really loving the organic method.

I usually give mine tea every other watering. You say there "VERY green" as in very dark green like to much Nitrogen, or very geen as in a nice healthy green? If its a nice healthy green it kinda falls in that catagory of.. Cant fix whats not broken. In my experiences, you dont have to give them tea every watering, every other is just fine. Welcome to the organic side, you will be impressed with your meds after a good cure! Goodluck!

Awesome, thanks so much for your input Stealth! Going to lighten up as the growth is definitely green, like they have had their share of nitrogen and then a little. I notice some of the leaf tips turning slightly inward, but I feel I may be over diagnosing the small things.

Just wanted to say that this is a great thread, particularly for we organic-wannabees, who may just happen to be researching teas; looking to pop his/her tea-cherry !

i have to agree here on all points ive run strait tea every water and tea every other water.. some strains can just handle it every water and some cant.if you plan on tea every water just make it in half dose(2 gal mix for 4 gals water.
