Those that have healthcare in the U.S. are just willfully ignorant until they lose theirs.

The problem, of course, is that this doesn't really hurt the banks. Hell, they've probably got insurance to cover this as a loss.

I was referring to the money game that they've been playing to protect against the possibility of loss. It's a nice gig if you can invest money and guarantee that it can never be lost with an actual insurance policy. This is the gaming that the banks were involved in (internationally) that resulted in Bush pushing through the bank bailout as he was leaving office.

I'm curious as to how "Taxpayer" dollars will come into play because someone has bulldozed his home, rather than allow it to be forclosed. The legal obligation it between the homeowner and the lending institution, which could be a mortgage holding company in Timbuktu.

That sounds like a real mature thing to do.. If he truly wants to be a grownup he should build the house he can afford instead of throwing a tantrum when he fails to keep up his end of the bargain... He went to the bank and askd for money, not the other way around.. The terms were clearly stated in the contract..nobody had a gun to his head forcing him to agree to the terms..He signed it, its his puppy now...

It seems like nowadays when people fuck up they never take responsiblity, they just blame it on somebody else...

Sounds a lot like the banks who took 800 billion bailout money from GW. They didn't take responsibility, they should have been allowed to fail for their sketchy lending practices, and are still fucking over families to create profit.
