A coast-to-coast Toronto Star investigation found more than 120 police officers have been accused by judges of outright lying, misleading the court or fabricating evidence since 2005. Many of the officers have gone unpunished.

nicholson knows the depth of the problem but is not doing anything to clean it up: gang-plank time.

A finding of contempt is one of the gravest penalties for a sitting government. The Harper government came close to being found in contempt once before, before the last election, over its refusal to reveal the costs of key programs, including the fighter jets.

hope there's enough momentum growing to oust the pirates

For example, if the government wanted the CBC to take a particular slant on a news story or to sideline a journalistic investigation, it would be the responsibility of the CBC Chair to stand up to the government in defence of the CBC’s independence.

“It must be incumbent on the Crowns to report every such finding to an independent investigator. The Crowns know full well how to get perjury prosecuted. You wouldn’t believe how quickly some of them will charge a civilian witness caught lying.”

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/artic...-over-lies?bn=1

the reason cops are not held to the same scrutiny: COLLUSION. cops are bad, our justice system flawed, nicholson for the gang-plank.

Normally these changes would go before Parliament’s environment and fisheries committees for study and public feedback, and then to the entire House of Commons for a final vote. But because they are part of the budget, the finance committee alone will study the whole document.

EVIL!the pirates say there will be debate in HOC and public invited to respond: VERY DOUBTFUL! pirates are in pre-rapture cash-out mode.

The federal government was named for keeping information out of public hands on files such as the F-35 program, avoiding questions at media events and for restricting both public and media access to contentious information.

It says support for Canadian banks from various agencies reached $114 billion at its peak. That works out to $3,400 for every man, woman and child in Canada, and also to seven per cent of Canada's gross domestic product in 2009.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012/04/30/bank-bailout-ccpa.html

wait a minute, you mean the same banks that post record $billion profits nearly every quarter got bailed out by the pirates? sure they did some creative accounting and that remedies part of the burden but BILLIONS? if each of the million families using a food bank today in canada got that $3400 instead? fat bellies and full larders for a spell. shameful.

Christopher Crawford, a local Burke campaign worker who handled the party’s voter-identification data, said he overheard a conversation between Sona and Burke’s campaign manager, Ken Morgan, in which Sona “was describing ‘how the Americans do politics,’ using the examples of calling non-supporters late at night, pretending to be liberals, or calling electors to tell them their poll location had changed.’

deny, defy, suppress facts, distort truths, squirm pirates: gangplank time.

But civil libertarians are concerned that the legislation will give police the power to break up peaceful protests, which are frequently filled with people in costumes, masks or even face paint that could be construed as concealing identity under the new law.

http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/canada/...-150345675.html

but once again perfectly okay for cops to not wear any indeitifiable insignia: no patches, name tags, badges, numbers. they can conceal their faces with balaclavas, gas masks. then under the various police acts: they do not have to answer any questions, or give truthful testimony in courts. hmmm... sounds like the kind of democracy we've allowed to be created for ourselves, time to take it back.
