Thanks to the Republican Party’s theft of our national wealth, he barely eked out an existence with financial help from my husband and me. Money for health insurance? Don’t be ridiculous.

GOOD point P about our high cost being due to people being sue happy. But here in Okie land they passed tort reform $250,000.00 top amoumt for puntive damage. Plus no lawyer may take a mal-pratice case that is not paid for by the plantiff.The Dr.s use this to make the person suing them pay cost of court apperance then ask for a continunce. And they will do this till you are so broke you have to settle or drop. Plus all Oklahoma Medical Ass. have to sign a pledge promising not to help against another Oklahoma Dr. if the case doesn't involve death or perament loss of limb. The total result our medical cost still climb just as fast as those in Calie. How about the fact that because the govt. in those other lands help keep profit down in the medical industry affects the cost more. Or because an insurance industry isn't trying to suck up all the profits they can lowers cost.

P our life style does have something to do with our dropping standard in life expectance, but even back in the 60's when our life style was better Americans were all ready dropping here.How about deaths in child birth or young child mortality we are dropping there even faster than our over all rate and they don't get time to eat too many cheesebugers.

Gov. O’Malley: GOP prolongs economic woes to hurt Obama

Democratic Governors Association Chair and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley said Thursday that Republicans were opposed to any plan proposed by President Barack Obama that could lead to job creation.

“I firmly believe that Republicans in Congress, driven by a concerted group, have decided that it is not in their party’s political interest to have the president succeed at creating any jobs,” he said at a breakfast sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor. “And I believe therefore they will do their very best to deny him any victories that could lead to job creation or a speedier recovery.”

Ralph Nader: U.S. is a two party dictatorship

Ralph Nader appeared Thursday on Fox News to discuss a democratic primary he was organizing against President Barack Obama to “hold his feet to the fire.”

“The important thing here is if he’s not challenged from the progressive-liberal wing of his party, that elected him, it’ll be a very dull campaign, people will not be very enthusiastic, more and more people will stay home, it’s not good for him,” Nader said. “If he’s a good debater, if he knows his facts, he’ll want to be challenged because he’ll come out much sharper.”

When asked about the possibility of a third party candidate succeeding in the 2012 presidential election, Nader said it would be a hurdle for anyone who wasn’t a billionaire.
