i would dare to say guano is as good as chicken guano ..it depends on what you are needing for your plants or what ya think makes them happy ..the price is compairible as is the valu in my opinion ..blood meal does break down fast ,bone meal much slower..i have even used dried blood from the rendering plant and it works well but it can be a little hot ..i've yet to burn anything with the guano i use ..seabird or bat..as the chicken guano is pellitized so is the seabird guano ..and yes they all can be added straight to the soil mix ..chicken has an npk of 4-2-2 and better for vegging and seabird guano that i use is 10-10-2..seabird guano is a good transitionel nute that when your going from veg to flower it is a good choice ..

what ever you choose , should depend on your comfort zone tho ..but mostly what your plants tell you ..

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!happydance I wasn't aware that only part of the blood meal is immediately available which changes my thinking a little. Knowing that I'll probably try to hunt down some feather meal... otherwise I'll go with a high nitrogen guano (chicken or bat) and extra worm castings. If I find feather meal, there should be enough initial nitrogen in the mix after it "cooks" for a month or so. I think that I've got it now and I apologies if this was a bad/stupid topic to discuss. When I get my mix together I'll make sure to post the results with plenty of pictures. Thanks again... peace.
