The Canadian Arab Federation, which lost government funding in 2009 over its criticism of Israel’s invasion of Lebanon, says it received an email Tuesday night from the office of Etobicoke Centre Conservative candidate Ted Opitz asking the group to be part of a campaign rally with Harper Thursday night. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/polit...e-photo-op?bn=1stoop lower pirates, you can do it! Project Democracy, as the group calls itself, isn’t so much an advocacy group for democratic principles as it is a collaborative online effort to promote strategic voting to block a Conservative majority by whatever means necessary. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/polit...-you-don-t?bn=1X-OUT HARPER AT THE POLLS TROUNCE THE TORIES

The 45-year-old cancer patient had been waiting 10 months for Health Canada to renew his licence to use medical marijuana when his home was ransacked and cleared of his cannabis plants in March. http://www.thestar.com/news/article/9744...ot-charges?bn=1X-OUT HARPER AT THE POLLS TROUNCE THE TORIES

I am older than you but age is irrelevant. I'm better read than you think.
If you think that minority governments are mired and accomplish little, you need to do a bit of homework.
minority governments are the way of the future , and PR will be ushered in soon because like the 30 or more other democratic nations have suffered the same lot: voter apathy Minority Gov't are the future?? Where do I get off! Have you ever watched our parliment on T.V.? There are all the facts you need to make an informed decision on who is actually leading this country and how. I know that what you are saying is based on fact, you are 100% correct with your views, but you miss the point. I don't know you but I do know the type of person. I will bet the farm that when the liberals were in charge you found quotes, and stories that put the liberals down also and sadly they were all true also. Thats my point, These people (politicians) need to be held accountable Minority Gov't are nothing but a waste of time and money. This has been proven with our countries state of affairs. Smoker

start your research on Proportional Representation here. This is a list of countries enjoying the benefits of coalition governance. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proportiona..._representationfractional parties like the greens, independents will benefit immensely PR is on the horizon due to voter apathy, and election-fatigue. Its time for a better future! X-OUT HARPER AT THE POLLS TROUNCE THE TORIES

But only one party appears to have an interest in driving down the participation of 18-to-24-year-olds in this campaign, says an expert on youth voting patterns. And now the Conservative Party is facing an allegation of election tampering after trying to have 700 votes cast by students earlier this week at the University of Guelph declared null and void. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/artic...dent-votes?bn=1local tory pirate filmed students casting ballots then tried to snatch the ballot box????? is he outta his fucking mind? thats an indictable offence and he ought to be removed from his riding, this election and the conservative party too. he ought to be charged and made example of. "The thing that's astounding to me is the prime minister's judgment," said Ignatieff. "You cashier a member of your own caucus, but you keep in your inner circle, in the prime minister's own office, a man five times convicted of fraud, Mr. (Bruce) Carson, who then gets accused of influence peddling."
