I'm sure this is a common experience, but last night I had a recurrence of an experience that left me rather shaken...it was somewhat intense. Now I take into account fully that my perceptions were heheh - altered...

Doubtless everyone gets odd physical sensations of every variety...

Who has shared the sensation of feeling almost compelled to move their limbs as if feeling the need to...well... uncoil their muscles to relieve the tension? The feeling as if muscles were "wound up" and by moving them in certain ways it relieves them... it feels almost like a "compulsive" behavior?

I went with it, trying to passively observe the behavior as I was experiencing the matter as a meditative experience, relaxing, allowing my breath to occur deeply and naturally*

* as an aside, I do use cannabis as a meditative shamanic substance as well as a recreational and medicinal plant...

Well I continued in a seated position until this became more elaborate...not unlike automatic writing, and it began to involve rhythmic tensing and relaxing of muscles all over the body, seemingly synchronized with breathing...

Fine. This has happened on numerous occasions and has almost seemed to form an almost "inspired" yoga and invariably led to relaxation of joints and muscles...no harm done and if anything a curious and harmless side effect.

On two occasions, while passively observing and allowing the movements to continue, I have seemingly engaged in some rather complex and last night almost martial-art like combination of maneuvers that left me short of breath and rather amazed. I have some training in wing chun that gave me an insight into the movements that made me wonder if I was tapping into memories drawn from my subconscious?

I guess the only real way to determine whether or not it really happened would be an outside observer...

I may have just been staggering around like a blithering idiot - in which case WOOHAA look at me Marge...I'm Bruce Lee- oops there goes the lamp! WOOHOO

blah

Has anyone else experience spontaneous movement of any kind? Automatic writing. Any other forms of ideomotor movement or seemingly channeled behavior?

I imagine spontaneous dance would certainly fall into this category too...I mean why not?

But specifically, I am referring to viewing as a passive observer while your limbs seem to "move themselves" and seeing how they tend to go, thus the parallel to automatic writing, a kind of ideomotor movement...under the circumstances of a drum beat, I can only imagine dance would be the result...dunno...haven't tried it laugh

Your mileage will certainly vary.

Responses from anyone interested in Cannabis or Hashish spirituality or just lookieloos certainly welcome...
