Now that the first week of an election campaign that no one seems to want has passed, does anyone remember why we’re in this election?
Was it the Stephen Harper budget that continues corporate tax cuts while refusing to improve the Canada Pension Plan which covers all senior citizens who have worked and contributed to CPP?
Was it caused by the growing number of scandals including Harper’s lying about the cost of new aircraft by billions of dollars, lying to Parliament on who cancelled the grant to an international aid agency, and breaking the law on election spending?
Let’s not forget: this election was precipitated by the Harper government’s contempt for Parliament and the Canadian people.
