It was because he raised the Capital Gains tax a few points on the richest Americans. So he raised that Tax a bit and removed the 6 trillion dollar deficit he inherited with just that?????? In two terms????? How about that huge chunk of federal tax out of every paycheck you received back then???? How about the huge cuts to military spending??? Do you recall all the Base closures acrossed the country and all the jobs lost???
