Dank, Of course when I flooded my beds they would be under the water, but it would drain off real quick about 5 min or less. But with 100 degrees plus they dry out quick enough. I really think you shoud try one or two just to see... Excellent question.

Quick question GW, do u use RO water outside? If not, are you checking ph on the outdoor stuff? I have been bad the last two years outdoors and did neither, gonna change that habit though.

Irie, No, I use city water which has chlorine in it, I have a 20 gal drum that I fill up with the city water and let stand for at least 24 hrs to let the chlorine evaporate before I use it. I use that to add to the tea. When I flood the plants I use straight city water but once it's dried out I feed with tea.

Great Question, Outdoors is so much more forgiving than indoor or hydro.

The kid grows the indoor and has all the water testing stuff, that's way to much hassle. It's a weed, put it in dirt, water it, and give it good sunshine and it will give ya what ya need.

so i have a fw questions for ya GW. when ya laid them down and tied em down, how big were they? im thinking when theyre between 2-4 ft ill lay them down.

starting to dig holes and get my soil ready. would holes 3 feet long 1 ft wide and 2 ft deep be enough for root development?

and final question. are you reusing your mushroom compost from last year or starting new if your doing another outdoor this year?

You are correct, most were between 2-4 feet, had a couple of 5 footers, Sour D and Blue Dream.

My holes are about 4-5 feet wide, 6-8 feet long and about 2 feet deep except at the base of the plant then they have a hole about 3- 3 1/2 feet deep in the center and tables about 2 feet on the sides.

Yes will reuse my soil this year, probably add some compost and promix or peat moss and peralite, with some bone meal and blood meal at the start so by the time it breaks down will be ready for the plants. Then feed with airated organic tea.
