^I have noticed alot of people are short on potassium in their organic mixes. However I used ej meta K and potassium toxicity can occure too. So be careful with the potash. I use the most potash during the beggening of flowering, and towards the end. Otherwise I use a moderate amount all through the grow.

Im very new to this organic tea thing, So far I have used this with decent results. Keep in mind I have only used this for about a month on only 4 plants in a closet.

I use 2 5gal buckets with 2gal of water in each bucket. Basic aquarium pump with airstone in each bucket.

- 2 tablespoon mexican bat guano
- 2 teaspoon maxicrop soluable seaweed
- 2 tablespoons earthworm castings
- 1/2 tablespoon mollases, another half 12 hours later, then another half 2 hours before feed.

Brewed for 24 hours. No teabag but do filter through a pillowcase into another bucket. For flower I plan on changing the mexican with jamacian bat guano.

These recipes were shared with me by Frankly Peaking. they sound great and I plan on using them for the grow I have currently going. the tea recipes are for 1 gal aerated for 24-48 hours. read the directions for "Santa's beard" underneath it.

Vegi:
1 G. h2o
1 tsp. black strap molasses (unsulfered)
1 tsp. AFF (5-1-1)
1 tsp. FF Peace of Mind (5-5-5)
1 C. vermicompost

We use Perfect Blend organic (4-4-4) with myco, as the granular fert. Really good stuff, we used for years on lawns until it went from $20 to $40 a 40# bag.

Flower:
1 tsp. bs molasses
1 tsp FF Peace of Mind (5-5-5)
1 tsp High P Bat Guano (0-4-0)
1 tsp Maxicrop liq. (1/2 tsp dry kelp)
1/4 tsp soft rock Phos (micronized) hard to find, check DTE
1 C. vermicompost or Fungi Dom mix

Fungi Dominant 'Santa's Beard' mix:
1/2 C. vermicompost
1/2 C. mushroom compost
2 T. Powdered org. rolled oats
2 tsp. kelp meal
1/4 tsp. micronized soft rock phos

Mix together, keep moist not wet, and grow fuzz, use in Flower tea instead of regular vermicompost, halfway through flower.

I've tried this a few times, a little bit more work and monitoring than expected, but I do want to try it more consistantly.

Thank you both OG, and RDG for the follow up. Yes please, credit given where credit due smile If you want some well rounded organinc information, he has many good discussions, and suggestions. Again, keep your eye on the ingredient labels, bottom line for organics.

Just ran out of the YB Bloom foliar, so I just started a batch of the flower, along with the 'Santa Beard' mix. It will be great to hear different reviews from everyone!

NOTE on Santa Beard
Keep the mix warm, about 70F, and out of direct light for best enviroment.

Too soggy of mix will clump and not 'mold' properly. Think of it as trying to make moldy bread. Do the dry mix material, lightly water and mist lightly, keep damp, but not wet.

Hung my mix in a plastic grocery sack, lightly misted, in the dark, and about 65F. Beard showed up in about 3 days, really likes the misting more than just watering.

Hey OG, this has to be one of, if not THE best thread on this board! There is so much valuable info here, I'm going to print it up to add to my 'binder of important stuff' smile

Quick question(s), and I apologize if it has been asked before: what is the shelf life for most teas ? Along the same lines, would you consider an eggshell soak a tea, and if not, what constitutes 'tea' ?

As you know, I am growing with a mix of organics and chem (grovel grovel), but am keen to go 100% natural: I plan to start growing totally naked happydance ..no, ...wait, not that kind of natural ! There are a number of great recipes here, so the only real difficulty is finding the proper ingredients here in the Canada's armpit.
