The plans for the trip have changed, we will now be doing interviews etc. in western Canada during this fall and then doing the eastern Canada part of the trip next spring.

After a few setbacks I'm happy to announce that this trip is finally a go.
We will be leaving Kelowna on Monday Sept' 13 to begin gathering footage for the sequel to "Trip-the B.C bud chronicles"
as well as a documentary about addiction called "go system"
We are focusing on western Canada this fall and will follow up next spring with eastern Canada.

We will be stopping in Lethbridge for a get together on the 14th and from there we will head to Saskatchewan for the balance of the week before moving back west for a few more days in Alberta

This will be a short 2 week trip to be followed by a couple more short trips this fall around B.C. and then another trip of several weeks next spring to cover eastern Canada, so there is still time for lots of things.
I am taking with me anti-s-10 posters and info, freedomtour and LEAP handouts, some free Marc posters/info and petitions and I do have some legalize and regulate stickers as well.
More input is always welcome.

After stops in Lethbidge, Regina and Saskatoon we are now in Calgary and looking forward to our time here. Big thanks to Phil of Skunk funk in Saskatoon for all the help and hospitality, To Tamara as well as Rick in Lethbridge and a huge shout out to Tim from Head to head in Regina.
We are gathering some amazing stories that are sure to make the sequel even better than the first "Trip movie".
Happy to have Jack Elliman along for this project as well.

Neil! You will be proud to hear that your efforts on the Freedom Tour have been very beneficial right here in your hometown!

During yesterdays Free Marc rally there was an officer who had observed brittney attempting to break a bamboo pole in half so she could make her sign a double handled flag, so he commented, saying " I guess since I am a public servant, I should be of some assistance." as he used his hand held saw to cleanly cut the pole for her.

After witnessing this I commended him on being so respectful about his role as a public servant, and brittney even commented saying that we even pay his wages with our taxes. In response to this he politely smiled and said " yes you do, and I thank you for that.". We had a short discussion about how we appreciate the changing stance on the drug war and how it has started to foster a lot more respect for law enforcement and has brought our officers to a position where they acknowledge that they are here to even protect us, because just like them, we are people too. His comment stating that the war on cannabis " is just plain silly" was very refreshing.

when I asked him if he had heard of L.E.A.P., he smiled big and bright and said " yes I absolutely have.".

What a great way to start a march!

Heres where it all started, with neil educating Jim Chu about L.E.A.P. back in 2007!

Thats great to hear,
We had a lot of good responses during our noon rally in Saskatoon, glad to hear it went well in Vancouver.
My apologies to Jeff of Skunk funk in Saskatoon for calling him Phil (my bad) I have no idea why, all I can say is that I was very tired at the time.
Had a good day in Calgary today doing interviews with Mamakind, Kelly Christie, Debbie Fagan as well as Tim person from the Hemporium. A huge thanks to all four of them (including Keith Fagan) for all the help and hospitality.

Well I'm back home after wrapping the first leg of the project, It was a very productive trip for sure as we got some amazing footage of some very amazing and cool people, activists, consumers, growers, head shop owners and employees, a LEAP speaker (Dennis Young), medical exemptees and non-exemtee users as well as hemp farmers and people in the hemp industry.
We still have alot of filming to do as we now head for Vancouver Island and Vancouver for more beginning around Oct. 4th (hopefully we do not suffer similar delays as was the case for the first leg).
I am so thrilled with this project that allows for activists and others to have their say and tell their stories as we chronicle the current state of affairs with regards to all things cannabis in Canada.
A huge thanks to all who helped out along the way, we could not have done it without you.

I am thrilled to be a part of this as it will undoubtedly be a huge success based on the quantity and quality of what we have so far and what we have in front of us. There are soooo many great people and amazing stories awaiting us and with the editing skills of GS-Joe and the musical expertise of the band doing the soundtrack, this documentary is destined to be a film festival hit and will be a big part of moving our cause forward.

We are about to commence our 2nd leg of the project in Vancouver/Vancouver Island.

Prohibition is a logic free zone that makes no sense, but sure makes $ for cops and the sellers of "legal" drugs.

As it turned out, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Vancouver/Vancouver Island trip had to be postponed until a later date, yet to be determined.
Apologies to those who were planning to meet with us, hopefully it won't be too long before we're back on track.
