this is for you Sticky
firstly I didn't take the time to shut off the led, lift the light,,,
then I simply pushed things aside to get the two pictures
what I got going is mostly same old same, so nothing new there, however I have three four inch cubes mixed in with the bunch from a strain initiating project, where the seeds grow out, the males get culled and the sex showing females get cloned before they flower out

the four inch cubes are 10 days root, 18 days veg (all under T5's)
then they get thrown under the lumi fixed at 12 hours
here's what they look like after 12 days under the led's

first one is the tallest of the bunch - it will be too close to the diodes and get bleached

second one didn't want to pull out of flower, so its pretty compact
(first one tilted over, showing 4 inch cube and roots)

third one - not pictured, is average between the two

I have 4 inch mixed with 3 inch cubes which throws off the watering schedule, so I flood once every two days, whether they need it or not

only took 2 pictures, so thats all

what a LED grow, wow! great job but i dont understand why u had to keep the LEDS so far away when they were little. LED's dont give out a bunch of heat. i was even thinking about putting reflective mirror-like-walls for a LED grow

Thanks Muncheese.

This light works great for mirror-like walls because of the three cooling fans in the center pulling air out of the plant zone. That would be winter operation, but for summer operation when I turn it into an air-cooled led, I no longer use my reflector because I have shut off and blocked off those fans and air no longer flows up through, just from one end to the other. I do it that way in the summer because of the heat from the led drivers. True, no heat below, but there is heat above and significant enough to raise the temperature in a small room and cause concern when one watches their reservoir temperature.

Why so far away when so small? Yes I can run this light right ontop of the plants and for several weeks after I cut the nitrogen, but after that too close bleaches the top buds. So far away when they are small helps train me for later, yet I still run her too close.

Right now I am three inches from the tops, no bleaching yet, but its only been one week since I cut the nitro.
