(1998) Canibus - Buckingham Palace
LL COOL J vs CANIBUS from the BEEF II DVD

The Jamaican-born rapper, aka Germaine Williams, known for delivering a lyrical KO to LLCoolJ and seen by many as the anointed successor to Rakim, Canibus' first album, produced by Wycleff Jean delivers "twin turbine rhymes with four thousand pounds of thrust" that are unequivocally powered by the herb, although overt weed rhymes are few. The track, Buckingham Palace however, is unmistakably inspired by U-Roy's Chalice In The Palace.Source

(1999) Gwar - Nitro Burnin' Funny Bong

Gods Were Alien Reptiles? Gosh, We Are Revolting? Gnarly Wankers And Retards? Whatever, Gwar is a theatrical punk-metal ensemble that makes monstrous music with lyrics that mostly extend their own bizarre mythology. This track from their fifth album, We Kill Everything - a riposte to Nitro Burnin' Funny Cars by The Dead Milkmen - is typical: "So I'm stuck on this planet and I'm hooked on the weed / And the crack and the booze and the pills and the speed / And the sex and the mud and the blood and the shit..." and typically funny: "I'm talkin bout the Nitro-Burnin Funny Bong / Just one hit, your life goes wrong / Nitro-burning funny bong / Another stupid stoner song..."Source

(2005) Leaves of Green

Contains Nineties footage of Craig X. Rubin in his 2000 B.C. store, Chris Conrad, Bruce Margolin and some early California cannabis buyers club pioneers, among others.

Rubin, now 41, is one of the good guys. High Times mag—I used to work there--began following his work back in the early 1990s when he schooled the Havasupai Nation—who live at the bottom of the Grand Canyon—on the value of hemp. He later worked with the Lakota Sioux to get them to plant hemp on that nation’s land—hemp which the US government subsequently destroyed. Rubin then opened 2000 B.C., a hemp store, in West Hollywood, which became the store of choice for Hollywood’s elite looking to pick up a little something to smoke from. He later began to appear as a regular on the television show Weeds, and in 2006 published a book, 9021GROW which discussed many of the stars who frequented his store, including : Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Harrison Ford, Kirsten Dunst, Drew Barrymore, Luke Wilson, Jack Black, Ricky Martin and even Martha Stewart. The book also remade the argument that hemp could be utilized to replace fossil fuels and explained why the war on drugs is so disastrous not only for people in the US, but worldwide.Source
