I ordered a custom built finished product. I love it. Cost more than 2000 bucks too. Not that I am lazy, I bust my ass all day long which is why I have both the money and lack of time to put it all together. I did put some time into research of the company and it paid off. I spent a few hours on the phone working asking the sales rep questions and getting the bugs worked out. I knew what I was getting before I ordered it. As far as building your own, I don't work for free. If I paid someone to come set my arrangement up, I would expect it to increase the cost. When I order from someone else who has gotten together the raw materials and put them together they should get paid for their time. I get paid a lot more for my time at work than I could have saved in doing it all myself. That's the reason to pay for convenience right?

Too bad you got ripped off dude, live and learn. I didn't when I bought my current setup but I have been ripped off in other ways many times in my life. It always sucks.

You're right. Not everyone is willing or able to put their own stuff together. I shouldn't have said he was lazy. It is actually a lot of work even making a small cabinet. I don't know why I kicked that guy while he was down. I really am sorry to him for that. Won't do so again.

I'm sorry to hear that you got ripped off by sunlight sheds. That really sucks man. I work hard as hell for my money and I would be fuming mad if my system ran that hot. but seriously why did you decide to go with them? I think of all the companies that make hydroponics grow boxes they suck just about the most. I mean look at the pictures on their website look like amateur hour at best. You sort of know what you're getting yourself into when you are with a company like that. The pictures say everything about the quality of their products. Maybe you can add an air conditioning to the room to help the unit run cooler. Or at least leave the unit open so that it will cool better. I would recommend at least putting a small floor fan directly pointing at the box to keep it running cooler. And there won't be used as stealthy at least your plants won't catch on fire!!

First of all, I'm a newb here, so please don't bite me too hard, ok? Because some of the questions I may ask might be pretty lame...but as to the first post...or the person who posted it....

Hey man, sorry to hear you got ripped off that way with your setup.

I'm also looking into getting a system that's ready to go...just for some small growing, but I'm at a crossroads cause there's SO much stuff out there, it gets 'confuzzling' to say the least! lol

I did notice on one of the earlier posts here that someone said about their company being reputable, but that just leaves me with a big question mark....ummm...What IS their company, and should I PM that person and see where/what they sell? Or would that freak someone out? (Like I said, I'm a newbie!)

I really can't afford to get ripped off..well, who the hell can, huh? And not only that, but I have to take extra precautions with a setup that isn't too noticeable..so I'm looking for something that fits those requirements.

I mean, some of those sites make it sound like everything is odorless, doesn't use much electricity, blah, blah, blah...

Me, I'm probably dipping my toe in the Atlantic Ocean once too often...lol....by asking all of this stuff, but hey, c'mon..that's the beauty of this forum right?

Besides, I'm a Newf and we gals kick ass partying, don't we? lol

Cheers! And please be gentle...I'm new at this...well, the growing aspect...and dammit, if I can grow pretty much anything outside (Gardening, etc), then I figure I can do this too...RIGHT? lol

Their website looks like it's made from a generic template.

I got my stuff from a "Specialty Lighting" store down the road from where I live, where you can buy just about everything you need; High pressure Sodium bulbs etc... as well as the electrical equipment to hook it up safely. Right next to it is a store that sells growing equipment (soil, PH solution, fertilizer etc...)

But ya srry to hear about the crappy grow box.

For $1200 I was able to convert an out of use bathroom into a 5'x7'x 7' flowering area with 1k switchable sunsystem ballast.350cfm elicient exhaust fan can 50 carbon filter and 250cfm intake fan. 2 3'x3'x3.5' veg closets with 1 250w cfl grow light in bright wing reflectors and a mother closet 2'D x 5'L x 4'H light here is 2 4' shop lights with total of 4 43w 6500k bulbs. And to top it all off the whole system never gets over 84 degrees in the summer and 74 degrees in the cooler months. So I would say good planning and frugle shopping will always get you a far better system then something made on an assembly line of course that price is for a all soil grow as I prefer the taste to buds grown in soil over pure hydroponic. If you can manage to get your money back I would suggest building everything as a DIY project hell offe to let them keep 10% as a restock fee maybe you can get your cash back and build your own
