Anyone that knows where I could purchase some promix #2 around in northern California please let me know! Every hydro store around me is clueless about the product

Do you mean Sunshine mix #2? I have never heard of promix with #'s. Usually something like bx.

Promix is nothing more than peat moss with added limes to raise ph as peat is like 3-4,needs ajustment to get 6-7 ph. Also contains perlite ,vermiculite, weak dry ferts as a starter charge(0.9-0.9-0.9) to help your shit take root.Also there is some non-ionic wetting agent in there.

Yea I think it goes by bx and bm or something. When I buy it, it's in a big bail or a smaller bag. The smaller bag has more drainage for seedlings and the bails are what I use when they are big enough to handle more water.
Can't remember how they are labeled, I haven't been able to find it locally either for a while now but the stuff that has more drainage is great for seedlings.

It's bx. Good stuff, but now I run Sunshine #4. Alot of perlite added. Ready to go out of bag. Also has lime, and wetting agent.

Does HomeDepot carry this stuff during the winter months?
