a pic of the whole plant would help a bit too.Almost looks like a virus but without a bit more info/pics,its harder to tell.Could also be just a pigment problem aswell.

is it on new growth or on the bottom.....looks like the bottom as its close proximity to the soil....
keep an eye and see if it spreads up the plant.....
whats the ph (soil/feeding) are all the minerals and nutes supplied?

Dont worry it could be alot of things just let things be and let it grow. If it continues to affect other leaves then post another pic. I think you did the right thing by clipping the leaf.
