Does the enviroment influence the ratio of male to female plants? I had 5 Maui Waui seeds that all ended up being males...bummer. Well I have recently came across some Northern Lights and Bubble Gum seeds. 5 each. I don't want to end up with all males again. I've never had this problem before, I'm afraid that I may get all males again.
What can I do to possibly influence the higher ratio of females to males. I did alter my soil with lime, to buffer the soil, With the 5 Maui Waui seeds. Everything else is basically the same.
I have a very basic setup with a 400 watt HPS cool tube growing organic.

Thanks for the timely replies guys!!!
I germinate the beans in paper towels then once the white root is about half inch long I place directly into soil and propogate. It just may be the luck of the draw. I scored 9 seeds of some unknown strain last year and all of them turned out to be females. My luck has been really good as of late. I guess it's the law of averages gettig the best of me.
I'll try lowering my temps. I also read that a soil medium with good levels of nitrogen produces more females too.

I have a large 125 watt CFL I use after germination. I do that until I see 2nd or 3rd set of leaves then I put them under HID. But not too close.
