Sorry to everyone that remembers this thread from way back and was left hanging. Due to security issues I had to drop off for a stretch...but I am back!!
Unfortunately I could only harvest 2 plants.
The purple was a very mellow, daytime smoke with mild fruity/earthy taste and smell and very airy bud structure, easy trim.
The big thicky was a very heavy, knockout, forget what you were doing stone with a more stank smell, very resinous and great bag appeal, tedious to trim but the leftovers made killer hash.
Also, I am back to the swamp again this year, so I will be updating soon. Cheers.

Hey all, First time checking in on the girls this weekend since planting them 1st week of June. I'll be honest, I was nervous of what I'd find after the last attempt three years ago. All of them were still kickin and lookin good to my surprise and the swamp was pretty dry given the dry weather, but they showed no signs of stress. They were planted at the 12-16" range and are now somewhere in the 4-6' range. I top dressed them with some guano and lagbenite and did some training and now won't be back till harvest. I extend above the pots with rabbit fencing when I transplanted outdoors to protect from the critters and it seemed to work pretty good this time. Although a few branches that poked through the fence got nipped. Overall, can't complain. Until harvest, here's a few pics...cheers and all the best to all you farmers.

Hey all,
So I went to the swamp again since going July 15.
I'll start off with the good news.
All the plants are still alive there and have started the stretch and are averaging out at about 2 weeks into flower. Some more, some less. Harvest is gonna be a one shot deal, so it looks like it will be mid Oct. I was surprised, last time around I grew KC Mango I was harvesting Mid Sept. Luck of the draw eh. But no major insect damage and the wire cages are solid in keeping out whatever is munchin on the plants. This time last grow I lost half my plants to some ganga crazed beaver or something. Still don't know what it was. As you can see by the stakes in the pics the plants are anywhere frome 5-7'h and approx. 3-4' wide. I thought they'd be bigger but will cover that in the bad news. Other good news is there are 3 big berthas that have some real producing potential.
Bad news is as you can see from the pics that the plants are overall a lighter shade of green then one would want and they have dropped a lot of the bigger fan leaves and more are yellowing. I had the same issue last time round and adjusted this time by doubling the dolomite lime from 5 to 10 lbs per tube. The upper growth looks good but I suspect if the ph was dailed in the results would have been better. If comparing it to a control grow I have going closer to home in pots, with everything the same other than the water source, those plant are proper green, plump and healthy. So I suspect that ph is the problem. I think the ph is good in the tubes but the plant is sucking the majority of its water from the acidic water from the swamp. Should have got a water sample and read it, forgot. Ah well. Only thing I can think of trying next time is spreading some d. lime around outside the tube to try and effect ph on a wider buffer around the plants. Any thoughts or suggestions? Any other swampers dealt with this?
Saying all that, can't complain too much as I have barely breathed on these plants this time round. You get what you put in I guess. Still looking good for the harvest as long as the weather holds out but there is always the desire to perfect all the controllable aspects.
Just have to pop out, but will post pics later today.
I took the pics when I first arrived at the swamp. So before I left I trimmed the scraggly lower 2' of growth along with removing all the dead and dying leaf. I also top dressed with more guano and d. lime. Then staked/tied and spread the plants out to prepare for the weight. Looking good, could always be better. Cheers.
