Pyrosin - Lol...to be honest the first thing I thought of was to camp out and fillet those deer with a buck knife, rambo styles. Sorry to here you're havin the same sorta luck. I don't blame em though, probably the best snack they've had in a while!
Stonersmurf - I had some ant problems, used a mix of borax and sugar at about 2 tbsp borax to 2 cups sugar, boiled down in a litre of water (same thing those ant traps are made of) and much cheaper. I used the cups they give you to take home dip from a restaurant, you know with the lids. Poke tiny holes in the cups around the rim and snap on lid and place them upside down (lid down) around the plants. But fill them when you get there to avoid a big mess. Seems you have to re-apply every so often but it works.
Danknug - Thanks for the tips! I'll try the moth balls next time I go up and will bring up a home made pepper spray for anything that isn't in flower. Problem I have is I don't have a small enough growing area to contain with fence, my plants are spread out one here, one there, 10 meters plus away from each other. I think next year I will add another 3ft of chicken wire above ground around the pots as it seems that is all they're able to take.
And thanks for the compliments all.

Try liquid fence. It'll keep the deer, rabbits and just about any other mammal off your plants. Its horrid stuff.
Might keep other humans away too. Seriously, its that bad. It lasts for about two weeks and then you need to re-apply. I have never used in on MJ, but it works on all of the deers favorite foods around our house.
