The 4th annual Freedomtour kicks off this Friday at noon on June 26th from the lawns of the legislature in Victoria B.C.

On Saturday, June 27th at 6 pm Bldg. 200, Rm. 203 (look for green arrows)
Vancouver Island University, Nanaimo We will be playing the movies "Reefer madness" and "Hemp for Victory"

Freedom is worth the effort

It was a beautiful day for the kick-off to the Freedomtour. We had permission to use the legislature grounds again this year and had no problems.
It is great to again have Andrew and his family as hosts this year and Andrew deserves much credit for helping out the Freedomtour.
After handing out some info packs and talking with some people I skated to city hall where of course the Mayor was not there as it was a Friday afternoon. So I chatted with an assistant and left a copy of the handout for the Mayor and another for the staff.
I mentioned to one long time city hall staffer that it seemed like Victoria was somewhat progressive with respect to drug policies and harm reduction and he said that the city was at least taking baby steps in the right direction.
I then skated to the VICS for a short visit and then to Teds club where I was welcomed and treated just fine.

I must add that it was great to be on the road skating for the Freedomtour again and a big thanks to all those who waved and honked in support, especially the group on Douglas street who whooped it up as I went by with my Freedomtour sign.
I would also like to thank Bonny and Dan for their hospitality and for driving me back to Andrews, it was great to spend some time getting to know them better.

The Vancouver Island leg of this years Freedomtour is now complete. I am very greatful to Andrew and Erica brown for accomadating me while on the Island this year and for organizing the movie night for the Freedomtour in Nanaimo.
I really appreciated the opportunity to be a part of this event. Thanks to all those involved and to those who came.
Thanks to John at the Smoke Zone in Nanaimo for helping out with T-shirts to give away.
It was a fun night.
I will now be in Vancouver for the next while doing the Freedomtour thing and deciding on the course of this years tour.
Stay tuned for some changes and keep up the fight for freedom.
