Saying something which isnt true is slander. Printing it is Libel. Both are legally actionable, even printing it "ON THE NET". Accusing people of things you can't prove qualifies for both, depending on the venue.
Asking anonymous, slanderous, and libelous people for "proof" of their accusations is what adults do, to avoid having to contact lawyers and police. The reason you don't understand that my questioning is for those persons protection, is because you are a kid, and don't really understand how the world works. Well said Mikey. Obviously these stragglers sticking up for the seriously flawed actions of their principal have never heard of the Inverted Pyramid Style in which most news articles are written;
For their benefit: Inverted pyramid style is a form of writing a news article in which the most important fact in the story is placed first, followed by the next most important facts, as if placing the bricks of a pyramid to paint a comprehensive picture of the important facts in the story. Nowhere in the dozens of national articles and editorials roundly criticizing Ms. Wilson, the school, and the school board, appear any of the half-intellectually-formed utterances (I'm still not really sure what any of their points were at this point) and laughable grade school character attacks (you're gay and don't have any friends.. hmmm) that they have awkwardly tried to use in a useless defense of indefensible behavior.
But maybe "we don't know the whole story". ROFL
PS. Susan Wilson *picked* this fight with Keiran. Keiran acted in self defense of his intellectual freedom and Canadian Charter right to free speech. Hopefully this was a much-needed lesson in civics for the entire Wawota Parkland School Board and anyone across the country who would try and silence academic freedom.

In the end Kieran did not write his finals, as he had left for China. His mark was calculated on his work and tests for the year, as if he was recommended, so he ended up with the 80's and 90's he deserved.
Kieran returned home from China at the end of June in 2008 for two weeks to write exams. He returned home again on February 23, 2009, and is still home completing his Grade 12. He is taking 3 subjects at school and 3 by correspondence, in order to graduate in June.
In September of 2007 I was working full-time 30 miles from Wawota, taking a university class, helping Kieran with his correspondence on-line, doing my own legal work to up-date child support, and taking Lucas to his activities. Then the Wawota principal laid a charge against me through the STF of breaking the Code of Ethics by talking on-line about the marijuana freedom of speech issue and causing problems for the school. I relayed the entire story at the initial discovery with no remorse for defending Kieran and doing what I had to do to get his marks back. But this extra time defending myself, and the fact that I really disliked my job, resulted in me taking leave from my teaching position at the end of November 2007. Lucas and I moved from Wawota to Nipawin at the end of January 2008, and I resigned from my teaching position. The STF ordered a hearing for April. At the hearing I was still very upset about what had happened to Kieran and showed no remorse. In fact, I stated that I would do it again if I had to and did not know if I wanted to belong to an organization that appeared to support what had happened to my son. After the hearing I was charged with breaking the Code of Ethics for discussion/comments Kieran and I made on Cannabis Culture and Saskboy. My teaching certificate was revoked for 3 months. I suspect it would be difficult to get a teaching position again, but I have no real regrets.
I started work for Social Services in June of 2008 and love my job. My daughter is moving from Wawota this July, and I am looking forward to my granddaughter going to a school where she will be appreciated for her research, questions, and ideas
There are still to be court proceedings on Kieran’s behalf- ongoing.
