Very Sad... Nothing like seeing CC on display in every respectable Book/magazine store you go to.

Out of curiosity, will CC continue to be published as a whole publication, every 2 months? or will it be on an article by article basis?

Cannabis Culture will no longer be made in a magazine format. There will be no layout artist to design article pages, so no, it's not a publication.

Everything will be online, with regular articles posted daily under various topics (news, growing, politics, activism, entertainment, products, medical marijuana, hemp, etc.) and back issues made available as download-able PDF files -- that's our plan.

Sorry to hear of this demise after so much hard work and money spent in the activist arena.

One thing the public needs to understand about distribution is retailers like Wal Mart negoiate(brow beat)the wholesaler's per copy price to put on the rack and remove down to unprofitable levels. When fuel cost spiked during this economic downturn it turned an already loosing system into a bloodbath. Anderson News tried to invoke a higher charge to the grocers and retailers without success. They were simply driven out of business by their own customers.

My boxes of CC will be lovingly read over and over 'till death do us part. Then my sons can do the same and so can theirs.

Mean while I'll just choke back the tears and pony up for an on-line subscription as soon as it's available.

Bless you all.

i wrote for a long time and kinda came to the conclusion that mourning is necessary, regardless how bright the bright side is, it's kinda insensitive to look directly to it. edited for understanding. delete?

Thank you. Because of CC, I have been able to find, grow and use the medication I needed to enjoy my life. I'm sad to see CC go - change is inevitable, but I, too mourn the loss. Know that your authors and editors, advertisers and readers know your worth to their world.
Again, thank you for being there.

Im going to miss the mag but hopefully you guys make-up for it with online info. Cannabis Culture is the first pot related mag I ever saw or heard of. I was so surprised that someone could get away with making such reading material then I found all the others out there. Out of all of the ones I have seen over the years yours is still my Favorite. Keep fighting the good fight Marc

It is very sad to see that the magazine will not continue to be printed. Marc has done a great job educating people about politics, growing and the personalities in the movement with CC and our progress will be hampered with this unfortunate situation.

I have some fond memories of the early days of CC. I was at the Hempology 101 meeting in Vancouver when Cannabis Canada was picked as a name. I also collected the business directory for the first edition and typed in into the computer in the small office space Dana used to work out of. I have been featured in several issues of CC, including having two pictures of me appear on the front page of issue #65 with 200 other activists. CC has helped my career more than any other magazine and for that I will be forever grateful.

However, I know Marc and Jodie have many things left to accomplish with their lives and perhaps this change will allow them to create new exciting ventures that might not otherwise be possible while maintaining and improving upon their work on-line.

Best of luck Marc and Jodie with these changes.

I am so sorry to hear that the magazine will no longer be printed. I always enjoyed going to my local convenience store to grab the new issue and rushing home to get into some good reading.

I shudder to think that CC will no longer be printed and only the shit ass magazines like High Times, Skunk, etc will be there.

Of course, I will still remain loyal to CC, and its new online version which is exciting and I look forward to seeing the first one whenever that should come out.

Thank you Marc, and Jodie as well as Dana, for all your amazing hard work and dedication to bring out a new piece of cannabis education every couple months. It was truly a marvel and beautiful thing you were doing.
