Ok, I've decided my first transgenetic experiment will be dubbed "Project LHF" (Low Hanging Fruits)

The object is simple enough. Create African Violets that get you high and come in three flavors: lemon, orange and grape.

Why African Violets?

Well, the Cannaboids and terpenes are in the trichomes.
African Violets are loaded with trichomes.
But I'd like the leaf tissue to also contain Cannaboids and terpenes... more on that later...



I'm going to use three separate miniature African Violets, one for each flavor.
And I'll match the flower color to the flavor. Yellow=Lemon, Orange=Orange and Purple=Grape...

Hey Loki. I had a couple questions I hope are on track with the thread...

Will you be using uv to grow the violets? What effect will it have on trichrome production and potency?

These will all be grown outdoors... Hard to say what UV would do to a plant that's never been grown yet...
I'll let you know once things get going what effect UV might have on a transgenetic plant.

So, when this is all said and done, would the goal be to make hash from the african violets, or smoke the fuckers? I dunno if I could bring myself to smoke a violet.

Well, it depends where the genes are expressed. I'm going to try for 'everything above ground' to express them. However, its just as likely that they maybe only expressed in the trichomes... or not at all...

In the end, I'm hoping for something smokeable.. hash, oil, leaf, but probably not the flowers...
