I dont see how it would be a myth, when in a big hotbox your breathing in much less oxygen and a dense cloud of smoke/weed. How could you walk out not high??

Yes, depending on the size of the area and amount being smoked.

I don't know if this counts, but the first time I ever got high was from someone blowing the smoke in my face. Of course I breathed it in, but I was high afterwards for sure.

Well from the things I've read it's not really DARE stuff.. I think. It's mainly people are talking about that because you're not taking "enough in" to get anything into your body. Which is where the myth part comes in and they talk about how it's psychological because of that.

It depends. On one hand your not gonna get a buzz catching a whiff of smoke. Thats one thing.

But if your hot boxing/clam baking, at least in my logic, you have a small space...a lot of smoke, etc. Now, mind you, whenever I've been in such a situation I've always partaken (naturally). So I can't say for certain if you would or not. My logic points to me saying you would.

Im interested if it is actually 100% true that you can get contact high. like i said i had a buddy who got high from 2nd hand, but come to think of it you never know with this guy.

Next time im over at someones place and there hotboxing the room... ill pass on the session, just to see how much it takes in how big of a room.... so should have the results later today lol

I'm mixed on the situation. I have no scientific knowledge of this kind of stuff, only personal experience.

I swear the first time I ever got high was through a contact. I would go over to an older friends house after school to hang out and everyone would come over to smoke. We were in a small 10x10 room with at least 6 people smoking, no windows open. They'd ask if I wanted any, but I'd always pass. I reaked of it and swear I was buzzing. But then again I'm not sure if it was real or I felt "buzzed" because I was around people that were baked out of their gourde.

Come to think of it, wouldn't "shotgun" be a form of contact? You're not breathing in the original smoke, but exhaled smoke ..?

What's the difference? If you "think" you're high, you're high.
