Catholic Church Bill Put on Hold

A bill that would change the way the Catholic churches run themselves has been pulled and there will be no hearing Wednesday.

Lawmakers are trying to determine whether the bill is constitutional.

Tom Gallagher, of Greenwich, has been an advocate for lay people to be given greater responsibilities within the church, and he spoke at a news conference Tuesday, the Hartford Courant reports. He said he has asked Rep. Michael Lawlor and Sen. Your government, chock full of persons who proclaim their alleged faith, has not attempted to allow the pilgrimage of Christians to Bethlehem. It has permitted the slaughter and forced exodus of Christians in Iraq.

So then, since your so-called Christian leaders do so much to harm fellow Christians, how then will there be a united Church to stand up? And who would they follow? Some charlatan from down South?
