Like I have stated before bills like these are just one more step to becoming a full police state.
Slowly but surely our freedoms are being taken from us by the people who come up with these bills.
These people are doing all the things that people like hitler and suddam would be proud of.
I am against any prison/rehab being built in my community because it only means they plan to fill them with good people like you and me.
A country of tyranny will allways have lots of prisons to keep all of it's whistleblowers and actavists so allways be aware of how many and how quickly prisons are being built.

The Conservative government will be introducing a "new" version of Bill C-15 this week.
Please contact all of the Liberal senators and urge them to vote NO.

Tories hint at mandatory terms for growing pot

By The Canadian Press
Mon. May 3 - 4:53 AM
OTTAWA — The Tories may revive a bill that would impose mandatory minimum sentences on people convicted of growing small numbers of pot plants.

The Conservative government will reintroduce its drug bill this week in the Senate, as part of its continued retabling of tough-on-crime bills that died when the last Parliament was prorogued.

Justice Minister Rob Nicholson is hinting that the new legislation would revive a controversial provision — a mandatory six-month sentence for people convicted of growing as few as five pot plants.

The Senate altered the Conservative bill in December by raising the mandatory minimum sentence provision to convictions for 200 plants.

Nicholson now says with the Conservatives in control of the Senate, he expects to get the drug bill passed quickly, as he originally intended it.

Nicholson won’t give specific details, except to say that there will be mandatory sentencing provisions in the bill.

The new bill will be called Bill S-10, and will be introduced into the non-televised Senate on Thursday, May 6th. Mods, please change the subject line of this thread (or start a new one, your call) when this happens.

I didn't see any movement on this, so I started a new thread to fight Bill S-10.
