you will have no trouble, the only thing you might notice that they will stall for a week or so.from my aero-cloner,i like to place them in 16oz. beer cups, you get about 3 weeks before they will be root bound and you will have a very nice root plug.

Cool, I was actually hoping the transplant would slow them down. It's still going to be a few weeks before I can think about tempering them outdoors and I definitely didn't want to transplant them again before going outside. I have them in small pots, around the same size as your beer cups, so that's good to know.

Thanks shaughnny! I'm pretty stoked about it myself, was wondering if I wasn't wasting 100 bucks worth of materials to build it. Now I know that not only does it work, but it works VERY well, and I can plan my clone crops a little more precisely.

Great work Stinky. Can you tell us what light you put the babies under, and how far distant is it.

Thanks Suzie, I use 3 2-bulb shop light fixtures, the kind you get at Home Depot for 10 bucks each. Each one has a warm white and cool white bulb in it- not grow bulbs, just El Cheapo's. All three fixtures are ganged together on 2 pieces of 1x3, and they were hung about 6" above the tops of the cuttings. You really can't get any cheaper, and to be honest I see no reason to spend any more. It worked awesome.

If you had white walls it would be over.

PVC vs. VPVC???

Any difference beyond color?

Is one better for our applications?

Well, in a nutshell there's no difference.

You could use either one, but in my experience professionally, PVC is harder and more brittle than CPVC. Plus, it's easier to find smaller sizes in CPVC, since it is commonly used in 1/2" whereas PVC isn't normally found under 1".

Color is essentially irrelevant as far as algae prevention- with the clones finishing in two weeks there just isn't enough time for algae to get a foothold.
