I got myself a 1.5 cu bag of roots soil today. I have botanicares line of pbp grow, pbp soil bloom, sweet, liquid karma, and cal mag. I also have roots organic oreginism xl. How will these nutes do with roots soil. Ive never grown in soil before so advice about how everyone mixes their nutes and feeds their plants would be awesome. Do you guys keep a rez filled with reverse osmosis/tap water and one with a mixture of nutrients and feed it when it needs it or do you mix nutes and then feed every time? And if a rez is needed will i need a pump or airstone to keep soil airated? Are most people using a water wand? Sorry if these questions seem stupid to everyone im just a soil newb.

Well I'm not sure if the Oregonism XL has humic acid or fulvic acid in them, but if it does you can't use it with the Liquid Karma.

I think when I was reading the back of the label the other day I noticed it had humic acid, but I am not positive. So if it does, leave the Liquid Karma out of the mix.

Here is a link to the Botanicare website. It says at the very bottom not to use the bio humic/fulvic with the Liquid Karma.

Oregonism does not contain humic/ fulvic acid. Liquid Karma is is basiclly over priced humic acid, the other ingredeants in it come in very minute amounts. Humic and fulvic acids are natural chelates that help the plants take up nutes and foster microbeal life.

I suggest using a 5g bucket to mix your nutes in. Mix you nutes and oregonism togeather and bubble them over nite. Oregonism will make your solution foamy but don't worry about it. Next day adjust the PH and use a wand attached to a pump to water. Left over solution will keep for several days or mix it into the next batch.

Dougfresh, no question is stupid. It's what were all here for, to learn new shit!!! \:\)

Something better than liquid Karma is ROs Trinity, mollasses based, it blows LQ out of the water.

Thanks for the tip on the Liquid Karma.

So since that Trinity has carbohydrates in it as well, does that mean if I use it I can dump the Sweet also?

The guy at the local hydro shop said the RO nutes are not selling well, so he will give me a great deal on them. I am going to get some Oregonism XL and possibly the Trinity.

If he doesn't have the Trinity, do you have any other suggestions to replace the Liquid Karma?

Thanks,
Bob

Yep in my opinion sweet is another product u don't need. Overpriced suger water and not much more

The RO base nutes are meant for soil only. Every one of there supplements has a very specific purpose and can benifit your grow in different ways. Trinity should be your first purchase but I would have to suggest getting them all. Use ancient amber and extreme sereane as folier feeding only, to expensive to use otherwise.

Every nute company has a product like trinity or Sweet and LQ, however RO is the only one that I know that has a mollasses based one with the high quality ingreadents. Others will work fine but RO takes it up a notch

Thanks again Spaceman.

I use pure blend pro as my base nute, but I will look into the Trinity, Extreme Serene, and the Ancient Amber. The first 2 things I am getting from them are the Trinity and Oregonism XL.

It may be overkill, but I use Trinity AND Molasses through my grow. It works very well for me, though Trinity is molasses based, so you probably don't really need more.

You'll like the Trinity, I think.

It is thinner than blackstrap molasses, but has yucca and kelp extract too, if I'm not mistaken (It's 3:00 a.m. and I'm too tired to check in the garden).

Good night all...
Happy Harvests!
