Since last weeks course, Thought I needed some back to school shopping. Putting on my new shoes and jeans, It was off to uvic. As the rain was falling, walking to school, I’m going to be early it looks like. So I thought, what is a hempology course, without a joint first. After a joint of some nice organic greenhouse bud, friend grows. I return to campus. As Ted and our peers show up, its still only around 3, and the class room has another class going on. So its decided, we need more tokes. Ted is excused from this session. As he wants to go over his study, as his heart, soul and mind are right into it. Now after a fatty, we are starting to cut the time close. Now we are running to classes. Once returning, the class room looked alot more filled then last week, and I still haven't hooked up the laptop or cam, Now a rush for me was on. Getting it hooked, internet plugged in, we still couldn't get on line. Luckily, right in front of class. One of the hempsters, Beth, offered her help. Thank you Beth for your offered help. Now had no time, just go and broadcast. Things seemed great, then we had a couple times were we got reconnected. Hopefully this will be fixed for next week. As At end of broadcast, we notice it was us.(damn pop-up, blockers) Must have been those before school joints, LOL. Each week we hope to be improving, but we don't have much time to get set up, as our class room, has classes before us, and we start at 330 and finish at 410. So 10 minutes to get to water fountain for the 420. At about 335, Ted began the class, having everyone's attention. On History of Prohibition. Ted does a great job educating, speaking clearly for all to hear, our time seem to be ticking faster and faster, to the point, oh no, we don't have enough time for question period, and started to go past our time limit in class. As other classes waiting for room and 420. Students to Cannabis Buyers Club members, we don't miss this 420. Or for that matter any 420, lol. We gathered up, all books , papers and computers, off for 420 at water fountain. As the circle formed, and we had our 42 second of silence, for ones in jail in the movement, (Chris Goodwin, Carol Gwilt, Mike) were main focus of our 42 second silence. Then as the joints got lite and passed around the circle, I asked anyone get a head count today. We had 148 student attend, and a dozen or so to sign up as new members. Which was another great turn out, even seeing as it was not the best of weather. This is only growing bigger and moving forward. Thanx again for the extra little help and the respect to each other that is showing on campus and on line. Its such a great educational tool, a class room in a university. For ones who showed up in chat for Hempology. Tx for being patient, we will get better each week. LOL, maybe less joints before class. But our Professor rather us be high in class then not. Tx again to all. SeaOfGreen -------------------- http://www.webspawner.com/users/potvwebchatroom/index.html

Peace Yes i will see you at class. Joints rolled for 420. Heres some text from the History of Cannabis Classes The history of the cannabis plant is as old as the story of human civilization. The plant has probably been used by our ancestors for religious purposes and as a source of protein for millions of years. About one million years ago the capacity to control fire was developed by pre-humans and one can assume that within a few hundred thousand years almost every plant available had been burned in a campfire or cave. As humans began forming larger groups, the ability to collect hemp seed and store it for years gave them control over a source of protein that could keep them alive through harsh winters. In his book, The Dragons Of Eden, Carl Sagan suggests that cannabis was the first domestic crop grown by humans almost 12,000 years ago. One plant would have provided food, oil, fiber for rope and cloth, and was eaten or inhaled for religious and medical purposes. A popular ancient method of ingesting cannabis was to cook it in milk and add honey for sweetener to produce what is commonly known as bhang. Hemp fibers were found in some 10,000 year old pottery found in Taiwan, probably to help strengthen the clay. The Chinese have long considered their country the ‘land of mulberry and hemp’. The oldest paper in the world is hemp paper from China. The Chinese were using cannabis as medicine before the 28th century and later began making clothing from it because the dwindling animal population could not produce enough fur for the growing human civilization. Early Chinese healers used to wrap a dead snake around a hemp stalk, or carve the image of a snake on a hemp stalk, and would beat it around the bed of a sick person to ward off evil spirits. Ancient Japanese people used hemp for seed, cloth and healing. India and Pakistan have been excellent sources of hashish since the beginning of time. India has never prohibited the growing or use of cannabis. The Egyptians pharaohs were also cannabis consumers, burning hash in elaborate incense chambers at almost every ceremony. A cone of hash was made which was placed upon the top of the heads of entertainers and guests at various functions, including parties and funerals. The Assyrians were another civilization that grew cannabis which they worshipped as the Tree of Life. The Sumerians also used hash in their homes. Many believe that The Bible is full of references to cannabis from the Tree of Life to the ‘old vinegar’ that was placed on the lips of Jesus before he died. Moses was taught how to make an anointing oil, which may have contained cannabis. The ‘burning bush’ was likely a hash plant that helped Moses talk to God. After all, God gave man all seed bearing herbs. This anointing oil and hash incense were used by the Hebrew people until 621 B.C. when King Josiah declared that using anointing oil and burning incense was prohibited except in the worship of Jahweh. Though this original prohibition contained in the ‘Book Of Law’only lasted a few years, it was used in 325 by the newly formed Roman Catholic Church to justify abolishing the use of cannabis or any other plant for healing. This anointing oil was openly used by Jesus to ‘heal the lepers’, an act for which he was condemned. However, during his time the burning of hash incense in the worship of various gods and goddesses of every known civilization was quite popular. Most citizens not living in poverty would burn incense in their homes and places of worship throughout the known world at the time. Peace
On a beautiful fall, summer like day in Victoria. We were thinking, should be a huge turn out. Entering the class room, you could feel it was going to be flawless. As Ted goes over his final notes, students filing into class, and the internet ready to broadcast, you knew , class was going to be another great turn out.
Ted spoke on Cannabis Through out the World, clearly and had everyone's attention. With the Webcast going, ppl in the chat, said , was very clear, both audio and video, with no reconnections, lagging. This weeks course, came out as good as it can be. Tx again for all who turned in, and showed up.
Gord is filming with a recorder, hoping to replay on you tube. Education for the mainstream, which we seem to be getting. Questions asked, can I join? But I don't smoke weed. Just students seeking truth. Which Ted is teaching.
After a perfect, organised class, it was over, each week , seems to fly by faster then week before. Must be the outdoor harvest buds.
As we all rush to hit 420, there's students, soaking up the sun everywhere.Holding 420 at the fountain. With 172 ppl forming a circle, Ted speaks of Carol Gwilt, Chris Goodwin, busts and being in jail. As like every week, we hold a 42 second of silence for them. This week, after the 42 second of silence. We handed out a Card and marker, and passed it around to the uvic buzz bunny,s (there nick name) to sign. Which I will get it in mail this week.
After a whole bunch of joints, in a real hot sunny fall day, we all felt very good, positive, on a high, not just from the bud. Just on how this is turning out. Its bigger then we thought, the 420,s rock. NO POLICE, odd campus security guard. Just a real respectful group of students learning about the truth. For ones who can make it in person. Try to catch us on the webcast, Education at a University. Prefect Setting.
Want to send a thanks to Paul, who owns the local head shop here, Sacred Herb. For donating mags, from WeedWorld, to Heads, Treating Yourself, and Cannabis Culture. Alot of students are checking them out after class.
Tx again to all who helped and showed or tuned in. See ya next week, and hopefully more do check this out.
Plus to all Uvic students going to the Hempology Camping this weekend. Enjoy the Bands, Buds, and the extra classes. See yous Saturday.

Peace As summers still shining in Victoria. Off to the University, with joints rolled. Walking bye all the bunny,s on campus, there's thousands, eating the grass. As the rest of us smoking it. Lecture today is on hemp. As I turn the corner, I could smell hempology in the air. Right in front of student building, Ted Smiths got a table set up, helping to promote his educational class . With the help of a few volunteers. As 3oclock approaches. We help to take down table and the hempology banner (made of hemp). Off to class, of course, after a fatty. As we got to get into the class, just a few minutes early, the rush wasn't so bad. With having guest speaker, and hemp products, Was nice having the extra time. As the hempology banner gets hung in class, hemp products layed out, and the internet all hooked up and ready to webcast. Ted starts of this weeks class by introducing Bill Finley of http://www.hempandcompany.com/As Bill gives us a great informative lecture of hemp, from some of the laws and regulations of growing hemp to the manufacturing of seeds. Along with the nutritional values of the seeds Bill gives the class, some hemp hearts (shelled hemp seed) from Rocky Mountain Grain Products, to snack on. Bill lectures , about using safer growing fibres, that don't need all the pesticides and chemical to grow it. Like cotton, ppl don't eat it, so they think they can spray as much as they like. But to what harm is it doing to our environment. As questions came up, the time was flying, Bill had everyone's attention, and was very clear at answering and speaking. Ted gives the 10 minute left. Bill has to switch over, to talk about hemp products, as in the textile. As Bill wearing hemp clothing, he also brought some clothing , shirts, pants, running shoes ect. As we neared the end of class, Ted helps to finish off the class today with a sample of some hemp wood product and to thank Bill for his time to come out and educate us today. The class gives a applause to another fantastic lecture at uvic. Now its just after 4, we have to gather up everything from class, shut down webcast, and get out to the fountain at uvic for our weekly 420. Which of course starts off with a shout of 420, and a 42 second of silence to Chris Goodwin and Carol Gwilt, others who are in jail for cannabis. Plus Ted spoke of the medical busts in California. After the silences, joints are lit, the head count today was at 209. Makes for a very impressive circle, in the centre of campus on another summer like day in Victoria. Thanks again to all who showed up for the webcast, It went GREAT Fran thanks for helping ppl to use the chat. Thanks to Bill Finley at http://www.hempandcompany.com/ and Ted Smith. Love the Hemp Hearts The UVIC Volunteers and club supporters. As week to week , we watch it grow, more youth are becoming educated. THEY ARE OUR FUTURE.
