i tried to search back posts but no luck. Just wanted to know if the rumor
bout zig zag rolling papers containing asbestos was true? Heard this a
couple times in the past but bout 6 months ago the rumor started again.
Now its hard to find them in stores in Montreal. No big loss anyway
cause I started using "Rizla ". They r just as thin as zz white and
easily available. Just wanted to find out the truth. Thanks.

The rumour that Zig-Zags contain asbestos is an old one. I don't know if it's true but I have ofte wondered and would like to do an article on the topic, if accurate and reliable information can be found.

Anyone have any input?

Once I tried Pure Hemp single wide papers, ZigZags had a bad taste to me like most brands have compared to ZigZag. These papers are super thin, yet strong 100% hemp papers with a light amount of clear natural gum adhesive. They are relatively new to market (a couple years around here) and made in Spain. (by sinsemilla smokers I bet) Practically nothing but cannabis burning in joints rolled with these.

i found rizzla original or rizzla red burned as well as zig zag blues i get runs with whites pure hemp papers always run for me I dont want runs but i wont use export greens they are too thick i dont have a choice most store carry onlyy zig zags remeber 7 11 wouldnt sell them for a while ? I dont know if kids can bu them geuss they are considered tabaccco products aspestos eh well if i worried about every little thing id have to smoke even more bud

I only smoke hemp papers. Won't touch anyones elses joint if was rolled with a zigzag.
As far a hemp papers and the joints running. This happens I think because they gets dry??? I baptise my joints and they burn clean and tasty. No runs.

You wouldn't smoke the best weed in the world if it was in a zig-zag? No offense but I think smoking anything is potentially harmful. If it's the taste that bothers you then that's different. Still, not smoking someone else's joint simply because it is rolled with a zig-zag is rude and offensive. That person wants to share something with you, and you are too self-absorbed to sacrifice your prized "perfect joint." to share it with them. Have fun smoking weed by yourself man.

i have read that the paper contains a flame retardent.
on a normal cigarette you can see the small circles of it, and it controls the burn(no runs).
zig zag has two types blues and whites,blues are fast burn and whites are slow, but anyways the lines on the paper are the retardent.

Pure Hemp are all i use now too. Anything else seems like newspaper now. (don't actually know that, cause I've never smoked w/newspaper - but I can just imagine) I buy them by the box - 50 packs I believe. cheaper that way and you always have them on hand. Not too sure about the retardant thing, but Some papers burn like shit no matter how you roll them. And also, I believe most trouble with running joints is either what you're rolling (either too wet or dry) or how it's rolled. I know guys who still roll pregnant joints (at least it looks like it) after 20 years of smoking, and they run like hell. Mine hardly ever run when I'm straight enough to roll them right. just my two cents.

zig zags are bad, they are a tobacco product from a tobacco company given the tobacco company treatment, think about the nature of these people, the difference between healthy tobacco and unhealthy tabacco is the difference between organic homegrown and commercial, as well as the addiction factor, they are oiled i am sure of, look at them in light, they are glazed with petroleum ether of some shit,

ok well if i roll some some of this east vancouver champagne in these green rizzla i bought special across from blunt brothers will you smoke it with me then? zig zags are usually all i can get in local stores and i seem to go through alot.How come you buy 100 papers your sure you havent smoked 100 joints and theyy are all gone? Is it becuase so many get ripped or arent perfect and you throw them away? Im not even going to bring up my brass chamber pipe although i burned off the engine oils will just use my glass pipe ...
