Nevermind my last post. I've been having problems with this method. I did it yesterday, following the method outlined at http://www.greendragonsoda.com/. The only difference is that I used an 1/8th of weed (like Master Wu) and I baked the weed at about 200-210F for about 25 minutes (used thermometer). I yielded 1oz of GD from 2oz of lemon extract (83% ethanol). My friend and I tried a dropper-full and neither of us felt anything. I was so upset. I thought I followed it so well for a first time, the results were truly disappointing. Frustrated, I thought that perhaps I didn't give the weed enough time to dissolve in the alcohol. So today, I put the weed back in the GD and simmered it at just under 150F for an hour. Then I let it slow cool for another hour, then strained the remaining liquid. Recovered about .8oz of GD. I tried another dropper full about 3 hours ago and so far, N-O-T-H-I-N-G-! Does anyone know WTF I could have done wrong? The only thing I can think of is that the pre-baking failed, but I did additional research. The decarboxylation of THCA to THC occurs naturally and constantly. Heating just speeds up the process. So even if the oven didn't fully convert the THCA, the hot water bath should have taken care of the rest. So I have -no- idea what could have went wrong. I used dank bud, too. Thanks for any help, scradimer

i'm in the process of creating a Green Dragon and am using the easiest/laziest method: dump a q of bud in, leave it in the dark, shake it every day for ~2-3 weeks. i started on Feb 4th (2 wks ago exactly) and will post pics of the progress. day 1 (feb4): got this clear spring bottle at the duty-free shop for $12. the smell is so strong it burned my nose and just a small sip burned my ears! here it is with the bud just put in:

If I might put in two cents worth, olive oil has worked great for me, with the best results at a temperature of 200 degrees F.

i'll let you know, Gecko hopefully i will be able to enjoy it weekend after next. my friend made pretty much the same batch as i and it seemed to have worked. took an hour or so to kick in then enjoy the ride! although drinking it straight up will taste like ass, can anyone recommend some mixers for the green dragon (shot glass' worth at most)? my friend is thinking of modifying a shot he did while in the Dominican: shot glass, put in a thick syrup-y mix, pour the green dragon on top so it layers, light in on fire then drink thru a straw. forgot the mix name but i'm not sure about lighting 190proof vodka on fire, even if it is a tiny amount.
