did you grow vertically

I just got rid of that strain ...bought seeds from above the amsterdam cafe...cant remebr the name o the place..
anyway ..had this one crazy pheno... it used to sap something bad,,,it also smelled like onions.. Crazy strong taste..

shitty thing was it used to hermy everytime...
it drove me nuts for awhile thinkin I had light leaks,etc..etc..
but I didnt...and It was messin up my whole bud room..
till i took the one crazy pheno out and left the others...
I had 4 different mothers all significantly differnent phenos...
The other 3 did better even tho I still seen the occasional seed,,..
but none laid down sap and resin like the one that seeded up the most... It was the craziest thing I have seen.. str8 goo..

obviously I got rid of all of em...I dont want any seeds..I have grown other crops without no issues in the same location,so it was the strain...tried and true...and a big pain in the ass

was just wonderin if you had any issues like I am descibing?

BTW 2 of my phenos were blue and the whole plant including the leaves turned purple during the last two weeks,when my temps never got below 75 in the da summa..

how do you ''train'' the branches to go down?do you tie them?cuz i didnt see the lower branch tied down.

I use small screw eye's , in the outside face of my shelves. The lower branches get twist tied to them. I would start in Veg , as I like to prune the backside of the plant , and start training as soon as the lower branches are long enough.

It's been a long time since I've posted new pics. I'm 1/2 way through harvesting my 8'th Vert crop. All PK this time, and looking fabulous. I really think I'm gonna have my best result yet.

I was wondering if anyone here has to use any supplemental lighting other than the center hung HIDs. Really I am wondering if you would have any spots that dont receive a sufficient amount of light or does everything stay well lit. thank you

I have considered hanging some lights in the corners , under the upper shelves , as the plants there do lack a bit. Been considering some LED's in there.

there's this new gadget i'd seen @ my local shop... their 1000W led with a built in fan (kind of like a pc fan) on the back side of the lights...they go for like $600 a pop to the public..

though for a vertical grow u can't really utilize the 360 effect b/c it a flat panel but great for traditional grow for sure!

Yeah , the directionality of the LED's would be a limiting factor. I would like 8 of those , hung , facing in 4 directions! 1000W ?!! I assume that that's equivalent to 1000W of HID , not 1000 actual Watts of LED?
