I wish my seed collection was larger.

I usually end up growing from seed every time.

you just reminded me that the BB pollen in the freezer i have must be about shite by now! 2 months old..grrrr.

i recall getting a heap of old seed off some guy in a bag and i tried sprouting em and i got one plant.
he said they were about 8 or 9 years old.
it was a male but it sure came in handy to put across the clones i had at the time. the offspring were more than fair.

i heard once that they found seed in some of the pyramids and they could get em to germinate but im not sure if this was true or what.

it must be about time to track down the fifteen year old seed in hiding and see if it can be revived. wish us some luck!

Would it be helpful to also vacuum seal the container using something like this http://www.pump-n-seal.com/ ?

If you use the pump n seal you need to add a Zorb-it pack so it won't get too dry.

I have a Vacuvin (ebay) with the zorbit packs and it works great to keep my stash at the perfect humidity, and still be sealed off from oxygen.




Be sure you order the zorbit with out the preservative.

i use silica gel packs. they are dessicants and are cheap as chips. they often come in electrical products and always in shoe boxes. i put 50 seeds per bag with a silica gel pack. works great for me

me too, the dryer and colder the longer they'll last. that gadget would be good for buds not seeds.

my method is simple, get a little ziplock bag, bag up the seeds, then place then in a sealed jar in the fridge

i bag em with silica then put them in an airtight box and in the fridge they go. i use an airtight box as i dont trust the bags
