you should bite your tongue, make sure you get it all the way off. and while you are at it cut off your fingers.

John Lennon was clearly disenchanted with the Church. That's why I say stop looking to the Church, the Church is just you and me. Salvation is you and Jesus, Jesus and you.

When the Church does not accurately reflect Truth, people can't see the Light. Like I said, God give me the answer.
It's the Brazen Bull.

we have all read the bible and see that the only truth in it was said much before it...everything else are just stories.

jesus may have been a real person, thats not for sure, but he was not any kind of god or anything other than a philosopher.

Quote:

Look at the writings of Lennon. Look at the art of Lennon. Then look at the state of the Church in the 1960's-1970's.
Then read the Gospels, and see who "appeared" more Christ-like; I.E. "all you need is love" Vs. "Burn yer records they think they're bigger than Jesus"...
Who "appeared more like Christ."

if you watch that all the way through im sure you will see that jesus wasnt all flowers puppy dogs and sunshine.

Quote:

There can only be One Creator of all created things. Emmanuel.

but that sentence might be wrong...there is nothing in that sentence that means it is infallible...actually it is logically flawed. and the same thing is written in other holy books of other religions....so why is yours right?

Quote:

John's Gospel is unique to the Synoptic Gospels. Three important words: "signs", "believe", and "life"

It is without question authentic.

i wonder how many of my links you actually go through

Quote:

"I just believe in me...and that reality" John Lennon

That reality is dead.

For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

That's reality, take it or leave it.

Have you not heard of that madman who lit a lantern in the bright morning hours, ran to the market-place, and cried incessantly: "I am looking for God! I am looking for God!"
As many of those who did not believe in God were standing together there, he excited considerable laughter. Have you lost him, then? said one. Did he lose his way like a child? said another. Or is he hiding? Is he afraid of us? Has he gone on a voyage? or emigrated? Thus they shouted and laughed. The madman sprang into their midst and pierced them with his glances.

"Where has God gone?" he cried. "I shall tell you. We have killed him - you and I. We are his murderers. But how have we done this? How were we able to drink up the sea? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the entire horizon? What did we do when we unchained the earth from its sun? Whither is it moving now? Whither are we moving now? Away from all suns? Are we not perpetually falling? Backward, sideward, forward, in all directions? Is there any up or down left? Are we not straying as through an infinite nothing? Do we not feel the breath of empty space? Has it not become colder? Is it not more and more night coming on all the time? Must not lanterns be lit in the morning? Do we not hear anything yet of the noise of the gravediggers who are burying God? Do we not smell anything yet of God's decomposition? Gods too decompose. God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we, murderers of all murderers, console ourselves? That which was the holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet possessed has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? With what water could we purify ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we need to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we not ourselves become gods simply to be worthy of it? There has never been a greater deed; and whosoever shall be born after us - for the sake of this deed he shall be part of a higher history than all history hitherto." -Nietzsche, Thus Spake Zarathustra

trust me its not reality....the fairy tales in the bible...thats not the reality we live in, thats your delusion.

He was a peace freak, for that I admire him and I alsways liked the song "All we are saying, is give peace a chance". So I don't think that John Lennon was a bad person. Just a peace freak, a psychadelic artist and a genius in his own way.

I think its more like he wanted to get completely rid of "ism-s", you know, some kind of ideals which you believe in and stick to. Like calling yourself a christian, and saying all other religions are just not valid. Or being a right-winger or left-winger in politics. Being a party member.

Lets not forget that he was experimenting with drugs too, not only pot LSD was one of them... and that influenced his art.

They were leaders in psychadelia and innovated in many was musically, with the orchestra mixed into the pop. Yeah their story is real cool. However I only seem them as innovative musicians and artists and their just as fallable as any other human being. So I don't believe in John Lennon.

...and your supposed to be the "big scary bad nonbeliever"? and that's the best you can do? I figured, since you're a neognostic belly serving atheist, you'd at least be bad enough to hold your own against a peaceful and pacific guy who tries to be like Jesus.

I like that one by Nietzsche... "Also Sprach Zarathustra" ... and a great symphony by Richard Strauss

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness, because what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse.
For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles.

Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done. They are filled with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice. They are rife with envy, murder, strife, deceit, hostility. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, contrivers of all sorts of evil, disobedient to parents, senseless, covenant-breakers, heartless, ruthless. Although they fully know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them

Jesus would never say that. Jesus would say "Each gives of his own store." And now have you given him of yours?

They keep trying to confine me to a right wing extremist conservative Evangelical position; so I gotta get my hands dirty to help lift them up out of the mess they're in. I'm not all that right wing extremist, it's not like I'm telling people it's o.k. to play with rattlessnakes...
When in Rome, do as the Romans... cussing them is the only way I can communicate the Gospel message...

No excuse. I'm sorry Skitzo. If I was like Jesus, I wouldn't even think wicked like that. You just bring out the beast in me.

It does leave a lot to be thought upon;

How much does a Christian tolerate before he acts?

what are my motives in responding?

Standing on the waters casting your bread
While the eyes of the idol with the iron head are glowing.
Distant ships sailing into the mist,
You were born with a snake in both of your fists while a hurricane was blowing.
Freedom just around the corner for you
But with the truth so far off, what good will it do?

Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune,
Bird fly high by the light of the moon,
Oh, oh, oh, Jokerman.

So swiftly the sun sets in the sky,
You rise up and say goodbye to no one.
Fools rush in where angels fear to tread,
Both of their futures, so full of dread, you don't show one.
Shedding off one more layer of skin,
Keeping one step ahead of the persecutor within.

Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune,
Bird fly high by the light of the moon,
Oh, oh, oh, Jokerman.

You're a man of the mountains, you can walk on the clouds,
Manipulator of crowds, you're a dream twister.
You're going to Sodom and Gomorrah
But what do you care? Ain't nobody there would want to marry your sister.
Friend to the martyr, a friend to the woman of shame,
You look into the fiery furnace, see the rich man without any name.

Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune,
Bird fly high by the light of the moon,
Oh, oh, oh, Jokerman.

Well, the Book of Leviticus and Deuteronomy,
The law of the jungle and the sea are your only teachers.
In the smoke of the twilight on a milk-white steed,
Michelangelo indeed could've carved out your features.
Resting in the fields, far from the turbulent space,
Half asleep near the stars with a small dog licking your face.

Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune,
Bird fly high by the light of the moon,
Oh. oh. oh. Jokerman.

Well, the rifleman's stalking the sick and the lame,
Preacherman seeks the same, who'll get there first is uncertain.
Nightsticks and water cannons, tear gas, padlocks,
Molotov cocktails and rocks behind every curtain,
False-hearted judges dying in the webs that they spin,
Only a matter of time 'til night comes steppin' in.

Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune,
Bird fly high by the light of the moon,
Oh, oh, oh, Jokerman.

It's a shadowy world, skies are slippery gray,
A woman just gave birth to a prince today and dressed him in scarlet.
He'll put the priest in his pocket, put the blade to the heat,
Take the motherless children off the street
And place them at the feet of a harlot.
Oh, Jokerman, you know what he wants,
Oh, Jokerman, you don't show any response.

Jokerman dance to the nightingale tune,
Bird fly high by the light of the moon,
Oh, oh, oh, Jokerman.
